¹ We'll replace any lost, stolen or damaged items with new ones where available, or give you the cash. If a cash settlement is agreed for any items, it will be limited to the replacement cost to us. The Home Insurance Policy Booklet has full details.

² We'll pay the costs we've agreed in advance for alternative accommodation if your home can't be lived in due to an insured event. The accommodation will be of a similar size and standard to your home. For any one claim, you're covered for up to £75,000 with Platinum buildings insurance, or up to £25,000 with Platinum contents insurance. The Silver and Gold levels provide lower amounts for accommodation.

AA Gold and AA Platinum home insurance have been given a 5 Star Rating from Defaqto. Defaqto is one of the UK's most trusted sources of financial product and market intelligence, supporting financial institutions, intermediaries and consumers to make smarter financial decisions.

The underwriter of your home insurance policy will be provided from our panel of insurers.

1. The Prize

 

1.1 You could win a Love2shop voucher worth up to £37 when purchasing an AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy from the AA (as defined below) in this free prize draw.

1.2 Each prizewinner will win a maximum of one prize. 100 prizes are available in total.

3. How to participate in the free prize draw

 

3.1 If you purchase an AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy via this web page between the Start Date and the End Date you may be eligible for entry into the free prize draw.

3.2 Upon your purchase of an AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy via this web page, or else by calling 0330 053 0228 and quoting your unique quote reference code, you'll be automatically entered into the free prize draw. The prize draw is based on all eligible purchases made between the Start Date and the End Date.

3.3 The AA will use the personal information on your AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy to enter you into the prize draw. One entry will be made in the policyholder's name for each new AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy purchased between the Start Date and the End Date.

AA members who purchase an AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy via this web page, or else by calling 0330 053 0228 and quoting their unique quote reference code, between the Start Date and the End Date will receive one extra entry into the free prize draw. An AA member is an AA customer who has arranged AA membership UK breakdown assistance cover directly with the AA. This excludes those who have access to AA UK breakdown assistance through any other arrangement, including, without restriction, a bank or vehicle manufacturer programme, or as part of an AA Car Insurance policy.

3.4 100 winners will be selected at random via an automated process.

3.5 By participating in this free prize draw you accept these terms and conditions.

4. Start Date

 

4.1 The free prize draw starts at 12:00am on 18 November 2024.

5. End Date

 

5.1 The free prize draw closes at 11:59pm on 3 December 2024.

6. Eligibility

 

6.1 The free prize draw is only open to purchasers of an AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy via this web page, or else by calling 0330 053 0228 and quoting their unique quote reference code, between the Start Date and the End Date. The prize draw isn't available in relation to the purchase of an AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy completed via any other website – including, but not limited to, price comparison or cash-back websites – and can't be used in conjunction with any other offers or discounts, and can be withdrawn or amended at any time.

6.2 Each entrant's AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy purchased between the Start Date and the End Date must have started and be in force at the time the prize draw is made under clause 6.8, to be eligible to win a prize.

6.3 The following aren't eligible to participate in or win the free prize draw:

 6.3.1 Employees of the AA or its holding subsidiary companies.

 6.3.2 Employees of agents or suppliers of the AA or its holding companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration.

 6.3.3 Members of the immediate families of the employees identified in 6.3.1 and 6.3.2 above.

6.4 By participating in the free prize draw you confirm that you're eligible to do so and are eligible to claim the prize or any prize you may win. The AA may require you to provide proof.

6.5 Entries not in accordance with these terms and conditions won't be counted and will be excluded.

6.6 Entries which are, as applicable, received after the End Date, incomplete, misspelled, inaudible, incomprehensible or are otherwise not in accordance with the instructions given by the AA aren't acceptable, and won't be eligible for this free prize draw.

6.7 The AA accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed or submitted due to a technical fault of any kind, such as a technical malfunction, a computer hardware or software failure, or a satellite, network or server failure. If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when purchasing online, the AA accepts no responsibility for incomplete purchases, and any incomplete purchases won't be eligible for entry into the prize draw. Where applicable the AA accepts no responsibility for any purchases which aren't completed for any reason.

6.8 The prize draw will be made 45 days following the End Date.

7. Selection of the winners

 

7.1 The winners will be selected at random from all the eligible entries received.

7.2 The selection will be done by an automated process.

7.3 The winners will be notified by email or phone using the details on their AA Home Insurance buildings or contents policy within 10 days of the draw being made under clause 6.8. The winners will be provided with a unique code via email along with details of how to redeem the voucher. The voucher will be fulfilled by Love2shop.

7.4 The prize can't be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

7.5 The AA accepts no responsibility if you're unable to claim the prize.

7.6 Each prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance, and if a winner can't be contacted after 5 days of the AA attempting to notify them under clause 7.3 above, or if any prize is unclaimed or declined within 10 days after being notified under clause 7.3 above, then the prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted, and a supplementary winner may be drawn at the AA's discretion.

7.7 The AA retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered isn't available.

7.8 The prize isn't negotiable, exchangeable or transferable for any other product or service or a cash alternative.

7.9 The decision of the AA is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

 

8.1 In so far as is permitted by law, the AA and its agents or distributors won't in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners, or accept any liability, for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize, except where they're caused by the negligence of the AA, its agents or distributors, or their employees. Your statutory rights aren't affected.

8.2 Under no circumstances will the AA's aggregate liability to you for all claims arising under these terms and conditions and/or the free prize draw, which do not fall within clause 8.1 above, exceed £200.00.

9. Data protection and publicity

 

9.1 The winners may be asked to take part in future publicity.

9.2 The AA will use your personal data for the purpose of the management of the free prize draw, including to assess your eligibility for the free prize draw and to administer the competition. You can find more information in the AA Privacy Notice.

9.3 The AA must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. We're required to make the forename, surname and the county of the winners available upon request.

9.4 If you object to your forename, surname, county or winning entry being published or made available, please contact the AA. In such circumstances the AA must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

10. General

 

10.1 If there's any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the AA may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude the entrant from participating in the prize draw.

10.2 The AA reserves the right to void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

10.3 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
