App conditions of use

By downloading or otherwise accessing the app you agree to the following:

• We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on your device, subject to these terms, the privacy policy and any applicable app store rules (which will be incorporated into these terms by reference). We reserve all other rights.
• The AA isn’t able to make any guarantees about the accuracy of the data made available through the app.
• The AA isn’t able to make any guarantees about the availability of the data on the app and may stop, change or remove the app (or the conditions of use) at any time and for any reason without giving you any notice.
• You’ll comply with all reasonable guidelines issued by the AA from time to time in relation to your use of the app.
• Any trademarks, copyright and other intellectual property rights in the app and data made available through the app belong to the AA or its third party suppliers or licensors and don’t belong to you. You will not (or encourage anyone else) in any circumstances try to pass off the data made available on the app as your or their own.
• In the event that the AA reasonably believes that you’re failing to meet with these terms and conditions, it has the right to temporarily stop your use of the app immediately. This may, at the AA’s sole discretion, continue until you’re able to demonstrate to the AA’s reasonable satisfaction that these terms and conditions haven’t been and won’t be broken by you.
• The other terms and conditions relating to your AA membership will, where relevant, apply to your use of this app.
• The app is provided to you free of charge, although certain features of the app will only be available to you if you’re an AA Yellow, Silver or Gold Member. If you’d like to become a Member of the AA, go to www.theaa.com for more info.
• The app hasn’t been developed to meet your individual needs so it’s your responsibility to ensure that the facilities and functions of the app meet your needs.
• The AA will not allow access to the AA App to any Jailbroken or Rooted devices in order to safeguard the data and privacy of its users.
• The AA keeps the right to grant or restrict the access to certain App features at any time to any user without previous notice.
• The AA doesn’t limit its liability to you for death or personal injury occurring from its negligence or for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
• Except in situations where we don’t limit our liability (as set out above), our maximum aggregate liability under or in connection with your use of the app or these conditions of use, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, will in all circumstances be limited to the price paid for the app. We’ll have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
• The app is for private use only. You agree not to use the app for any commercial or business purposes.
• These terms and conditions and any dispute, claim or obligation (whether contractual or non-contractual) arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter or formation will be governed by English law.
• You agree that the English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim relating to your use of the app.

Our privacy notice, which explains how we use any personal data that you give to us, or any that we may collect from or about you, and our cookie policy, which sets out information about the cookies on our site and app, apply to these terms and conditions. You should also read the terms and conditions for our website, which are also incorporated into these terms and conditions and apply to screens in the app that are pages from our website. 

Google Maps

Users of maps in the app are bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service (including the Google Privacy Policy).

Analytics

We use several technologies to understand how visitors use our website or app. These help us to identify areas for improvement, and to collect and report on commercial data (like sales volumes). They include analytics tools that report numbers, and session capture tools that record videos of individual user sessions – following things like where you click on the page, place your cursor, and where you fill in forms. This data is kept secure and we only record what's typed into forms if really necessary. The rest of the time it's not visible in the recording.

Terms and conditions
