"I fixed the pipe – then the ceiling."

"Having a water leak in your home is not a laughing matter. In fact, it can be quite stressful. However, on one job I went to involving a burst pipe, I literally had the customer in fits of laughter.

"To repair a split pipe in the attic I had to walk across the beams and then balance on them to fix it – which I did. That should have been the hard part, but of course I still had to get back to the loft hatch, across some very wet and thin beams.  And yes, you’ve guessed it, I slipped!

"With one leg dangling through the ceiling, all I could hear was the customer crying with laughter below me. Anyway, obviously I fixed the ceiling too and left a very happy customer to tell everyone he knows a very funny story."
