"Some time ago I attended my uncle’s funeral. As befitted the occasion, the weather was absolutely awful with rain coming down in buckets. During the service, my four-month-old daughter suddenly required an emergency nappy change. Obviously I couldn’t see to her needs in the chapel, so I had to brave the rain and take her out to the car.
"As the car was a hatchback, I laid her down in the boot to keep her dry while I dealt with the offending mess. When I’d finished, I closed the boot to hurry back to the service and the dry. It was then that I realised I’d left the car keys and the bag containing the baby milk, nappies and other baby stuff in the boot.
"After the funeral I called the AA and the patrol arrived not long after. I really felt for the poor chap, as he got totally drenched jacking up the car so that he could get underneath to disconnect the electrics to the powered windows. He then managed to force a window down enough for me to crawl through to get the bag and keys – just in time for my daughter’s next feed!"
