"When I first got the call, I couldn’t believe my ears. What? A cat has got stuck tight in the engine compartment of a car?
"But when I got to the scene I saw it for myself – a big ginger tom wedged down the side of the engine. And he was spitting angry, so there was no chance of freeing him out without him getting hurt, or me getting scratched.
"Luckily the RSPCA guy who was also there called a nearby vet, and within a few minutes he had sedated the cat so I could dismantle parts of the engine, and rescue the cat without being mauled.
"After a check by the vet, he was purrfectly ok."
