"An AA patrol gave up his coat for me"

"On a freezing cold winter’s morning, whilst en route to my daily session in the gym before work, my tyre decided to burst. Dressed unsuitably for the occasion, I regrettably got out of my car and stood behind the safety barrier in my cycling shorts and coat – thankfully it was 6.30am and still very dark! I took out my phone, called the AA and waited.

"Whilst there were a few issues with getting them to the right destination, I was overwhelmed with joy when I saw the yellow flashing lights heading in my direction. By this point my legs had virtually turned blue and I was freezing.

"Despite the cold conditions, the patrol man thought of me first and gave me his thick coat whilst opting for a thinner version for himself. He also gave me his gloves and poured me a cup of vanilla latte.

"Remembering how chilly it was on that morning, it’s one of those moments that really makes me feel warm about the AA."
