"One man wanted his false leg insured"

"You hear some funny things working in a call centre, but I’m not sure anything can top the time when a customer asked if we could insure his prosthetic leg.
"I advised that there was no cover for accidental damage while in use, to which he quipped, "Well, I did get it for Christmas, but it wasn’t just a stocking filler!"
"Without thinking, I replied: "Well, sir, you’re going to kick yourself when I tell you this…" Luckily, he interrupted: "I doubt it son because I would fall over if I did that!"
"It was then that I realised what I had said and apologised. But the man just laughed and told me that when he goes to the pub on Friday he'll put his leg on the bar, order a pint and say "I can’t believe you’re serving me when I’m this legless!"
"He may not have been able to cover his leg but he certainly had the whole department falling about with laughter."
