"I took a call from a customer who’d travelled to Gibraltar on holiday and
couldn’t help laughing when he told me the source of his claim.
"He’d been relaxing in the sun when a group of macaques started aping around nearby. Before he knew what to do, one of them had swiped the sunglasses from his head and run off with them.
"The customer gave chase, trying to retrieve his prized possession and eventually managed to catch up with the ringleader who by this time was wearing the stolen property.
"As soon as the customer made an attempt to get his sunglasses back, the cheeky chimp threw them to one of his friends, who went on to smash them on the rocks.
"Luckily, the customer was able to claim on his AA Travel Insurance, otherwise I believe he would have gone ape!"
