It had been a lovely start to the day. I had taken my two children - 1-year-old Sully and 5-year-old Noah - to soft play and we then went for lunch with friends.
On the way home, Sully was so tired that he fell asleep, but Noah was still wide-awake. We were just pulling away at some traffic lights when the car made a very strange noise. I immediately thought 'uh oh' and moved over to the side of the road and called the AA - luckily I have cover through my bank account.
I was told that the patrol would be a bit longer getting to us than usual as they were experiencing a very busy day due to the weather. When he arrived I was really pleased to see him, and Noah got excited when the AA Patrol said that the car had a major engine problem and that he would have to tow us the rest of the way home. In fact, Noah was so excited about the tow that he made a video about it - watch out Ron Howard!
The AA guy was reassuring and helpful about what I should do as I hadn't been towed before and I was a little nervous. Anyway, we got home in one piece and the patrol jumped started the battery, which had been drained by the engine problem, so that I could close the electric windows.
