"I got a cheeky call one night"

Working the night shift a few years ago, I took a call from an AA member, asking if we could help him get his keys from inside the car – nothing so unusual about that. I dispatched a patrol to the location he gave me and assumed that would be the last I heard of it.

The patrol told me later when he arrived, the couple were sat sheepishly in their car - completely naked. It turned out they had decided to go midnight skinny-dipping, and put all their clothes in the boot of the car, leaving the keys in a trouser pocket.

What I later realised was the phone box they’d called from was over a mile from their location...
