"What I saw in the boot made me blush"

"You get to see all kinds of things as an AA patrol, some of which are quite amusing. For example, a few weeks before Christmas last year, I got called out to attend to a puncture on a member's Toyota, which was in the car park of a secondary school.

"When I got there, the member was standing by her car waiting for me. The smile on her face disappeared very quickly when I told her that I needed to get the spare tyre from the boot. In fact, her face went a lighter shade of pale. When I looked in the boot though, my face went a bright shade of red, because it was full of paraphernalia used to teach young people the facts of life. Yes, that’s right, she was a sex education teacher.

"You can imagine the comments we got from the pupils passing by as I emptied the boot to get to the spare tyre. We both had a good laugh about it in the end though."
