If one was to single out a flagship Ford, it would undoubtedly be the Fiesta. Despite being over thirty years old, it remains one of the best superminis on the market, boasting the finest drive of its class, excellent efficiency and a comfortable ride. The Focus, being slightly bigger, shares much with its supermini sibling, but not the same dominance over the hatchback market (largely due to it competing with the VW Golf). While the Mondeo might not tempt many buyers looking at strictly premium family saloons, it is not far off, offering power, space and refinement, but faltering at the desirability stakes. While this could be said of all Fords, they mix excellent performance with affordability, all of which makes Ford one of the best all-round performing manufacturers on the market.
