How to redeem your free Basic Breakdown Cover or discounted upgrade

You will receive a phone number and offer code in your policy confirmation email. As long as your vehicle is being used for personal use^ only, give us a ring and quote the discount code and our contact centre team will set up your cover or upgrade.

Terms and conditions

Non Member and existing Member Breakdown Cover offer terms

Offers available to customers who have bought an AA warranty and must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase. Offers are not available in a breakdown situation. Cover will start 24 hours after activation. Offers are not available in conjunction with any other offer and are not available on any other AA products or services.

New AA member offers are available for the first 12 months of cover only and are not available to existing members. Free breakdown cover is for personal use vehicles only and available via the call centre. Other levels of cover for new AA members can be purchased online by following the instructions after purchasing a warranty. Discounts are not applicable to Smart Breakdown cover or Parts & Garage cover.

Existing member offers are only available via the call centre and applies to personal use vehicles only. One discounted upgrade can be added to the customer’s existing breakdown policy for the remainder of their policy year. The upgrade will be renewed automatically, at full price, unless we are told otherwise or if the customer’s existing policy doesn’t already automatically renew.

^Personal use means the vehicle is used only for private and domestic purposes and not for any commercial purposes such as: carrying people/goods for money, carrying equipment, tools or materials or trade, taking part in track days or any other sport.
