While it may not quite live up to the example set by its rivals, the Maserati range is one of all-round excellence. The GranTurismo has been hailed by many as a return to splendid form after a number of years offering middling models. Sleek, balanced and robust, it manages to fit in four seats to make it a relatively practical car as well as a powerful one. More luxurious but less sporty is the Quattroporte, which offers drivers superior comfort and a competent degree of performance. With a new, up-market saloon and SUV set to be released in the coming years, Maserati are looking to expand their range to focus on their luxury rather than just their sporting credentials.
