Alfa Romeo GT reviews

This is a perfect car for long distance driving without strain. Everything is in the right place, the seats are comfortable enough not to give shoulder strain & the acceleration, even in 6th gear has enough in reserve when needed. The boot is surprisingly capable of taking more than enough luggage when needed & has even the choice of a ski panel, for winter holidays. The fuel economy, certainly in the diesel version is excellent on motorway driving, although, in traffic jams it can climb a little. Apart from annual maintenance, the reliability has been good. This is my 3rd Alpha Romeo & I would be happy to buy again

I've always liked Alfas and this is my second, the first being a 33 cloverleaf back in the early 90's. This one is far superior though. It still has the quirks you expect with an Alfa but is a lovely car to drive. I use it mainly for longer trips so get a higher MPG than normal, but also find it very comfortable and will finish the trip with no aches or pains. it has been very reliable with only one break down in 6 years of ownership. All servicing has been done at the local Alfa garage and parts have been fairly priced and not a huge issue. On the practicality side, it is a coupe so space is not exactly its strong point. Saying that I can fit a mountain bike in the boot with the seats folded and for passengers it has plenty of leg room although tall people will be brushing the roof. Alltogether a very enjoyable car.. I'm not sure what I would replace it with!!
