BMW Z3 reviews

The hot and prolonged period of summer weather this year has really made me fall in love with this car. For its roof down practicality of having 3 separate locking compartments, as well as a boot space which will take a set of golf clubs it excels in top down motoring. The 2 litre engine pulls smoothly and strongly up to national speed limits and the notchy gearbox gives a real feeling of classic sports cars. Park it up on any seafront and see the admiring glances - or enjoy posing sun glasses on; no need to put a hat on backwards. Engine warning light problem resolved after a refit of air filter(correctly) and replacing the fuel mixture sensor - no need as one owner suggested solve the problem by removing the bulb!!

I've had a Z3 BMW for three years now, & it has always been a pleasure to own. The car has always been totally reliable, all that has needed to be done is regular service & add fuel! Being a BMW, the build quality is as you would expect it to be, solid & good quality. The seats are comfortable on long journeys, & the heated option is nice for cold winter mornings or when the roof is down in a bright but chilly day. The interior of the car is well thought out & practical, and although modern, it is reminiscent of an old fashioned sports car. Fuel consumption is excellent, but that is because my car is the four cylinder model. I would think the six cylinder cars are quite a bit more thirsty. Of course, being a smaller engined model, the performance isn't breath taking, but it's certainly respectable & always fun, whether in town or ion the open roads. Road handling is excellent too. You always feel safe. The only downside to the car is that it has only two seats & not an enormous amount of luggage space, but if you require those things, a two seater sports car isn't really what you should own in the first place. That said, there are lots of storage spaces in the car, & some are lockable too, so it's still secure even with the roof down. From my experience with owning this car, I would recommend one to anybody. I have owned quite a few cars over the years, but this one is by far one of my favourites, well built, well thought out, fun & reliable.

The Z3 is a fun car, a drivers car

I love my old car even though it is ancient it is in fairly good condition and still drives quite well. People always say how great it looks and are amazed when I tell them how old it is!!
