Positives Economy - I get 41 mpg combines motorway and city (I drive through central London most days). Reliability - I drive my Chrysler Voyager every day and it has never let me down. Capacity - the capacity is great for taking the kids' friends or going on camping trips. Negatives Versatility - on the 2001 model the seats are really, really heavy to move if you want to use the van configuration (I believe this was improved in later models) Power - the 2000 is a little under powered when fully laden. But it's worth the sacrifice for the economy, in my opinion. Climate control - when it drops below 3 degrees C outside, the small engine doesn't produce enough heat to really warm the cavernous interior. I'd recommend buying a plug in seat heater.

Cost of parts can be high and fuel consumption is less than 30 mpg round town, although it is is pretty good for the size of the vehicle. Handling is good, comfort is very good, although the extra room in the Grand Voyager makes it even better (I can't get the GV in my garage, so have the Voyager). The vehicle has a certain road presence, which means that even BMW & Merc drivers think twice before trying to force you out of their way. The space is great and the vehicle can become a small van by removing all of the rear seats. If only 5 seats are needed, the 2 middle seats (its a 2-2-3 formation) can be stowed behind the bench seat giving luxurious space. There are air bags galore and don't be put off by talk of bad crash test results as this was the Mk2 and the Mk3 (2001+) is a complete redesign with much better safety. All round view is pretty good (unlike many recent designs where rear view seems to be regarded as undesirable). Handling in snow and ice is pretty good as the vehicle is hefty but without limited slip diff, I did get stuck once when the 2 wheel drive effectively turned into 1 wheel drive just when you need the traction. I have thought of swapping but can't find anything that I want to swap to.
