I do rather like the Xsara Picasso - this is my third, having the lost the 1st to another driver not wanting to stop at a T-Junction and ramming mine, the 2nd one I bought because I was running out of time on the hire car and lasted a while - went to Italy and back - then exchanged it for no. 3 as it needed too much doing and the cost outweighed the value so am still happy and wish I could have had this car when my daughter was little - putting the pram in the boot would have been a lot easier for one - it has plenty of storage for sure and, so far, a sturdy engine - I tend to keep my cars for a long time where possible, the longest 10 years - an old series 3 bmw - loved that car - and love this one too - my daughter loves it cos she can watch her dvds by placing the player on the tray/table behind the front seats - handy for the MacDonald cups too - plus the space and how many toys she can get into the back..... Its good on the back too - my hubby and I both appreciate that. It's not one of the newer models and am not sure I would purchase the new one - but would need to test drive to see if it would be suitlable....

Very economical to run. 50mpg. Good driving position and good acceleration. Plenty of room. Back seats easily removed. Good size boot.

I bought the car so that 5 adults could be transported in comfort and safety. The Picasso fullfils this criterion well. It is also very useful for large loads even without folding flat or removing the rear seats. I like the ability to move the centre rear seat forward so that the person using it has plenty of elbow room. Over several years the fuel economy has varied between 43 mpg and 57 mpg depending on season and number of Dad's taxi runs into the local town. As an older driver I very much like the high sitting position and the ability to see over walls and hedges in the countryside. This is coupled with ease of access and plenty of headroom for someone who weighs 17 stone and is 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Comfortable, practicle, cheap to buy, insure, run and tax, but repairs are expensive. Turbo unreliable and a very pricey fix!! Love the space tho, and the interior is bright, airy and very comfortable.

On the whole I have been please with the car, as it was used when I bought it it always comes with the odd issue. The main one has been with the electronic starter sensor, this has been the only main issue though.

The running costs and fuel efficiency are worse than we expected when we bought it. |In every other sense it has done exactly what we want from it. It is large enough to carry treenagers and friends, luggage, including sports and camping gear. The car has been utterly reliable and for a small diesel engine its performance is better than I would have thought. My wife and I have different drining styles ( she's faster!) but it suits us both for practical purposes. We obviously weren't looking for a rally car.

I have to admit that my dads nickname for this make of car was 'Citriole' [cucumber] but after having driven the Citroen Xsara Picasso for a number of years now find it to be a great car and wish I'd had this car ten years ago when my daughter was born as it would have made things a lot easier such as transporting the pram, bags, shopping and my back. There are a couple of things that need to be added for comfort but that goes for most cars in relation to the female form but think we're getting there. I drove to Italy and back 3 years ago, not in this car, but same type/model and we thoroughly enjoyed the journey - it was a pleasure to drive and we covered over 3,000 miles return trip.

Have had my car for almost 7 yrs and completed 100,000 miles in that time Other than routine servicing, brakes & tyres etc I have incurred no other maintenance costs. Am still on the original clutch! My car is reliable, fuel efficient and practical & robust! When a deer jumped onto my car (landing across the bonnet) from a height of approx 12 feet, the damage was minimal- needed a new bonnet and wing but the car remained drive able. I think about upgrading my car occassionaly but cannot justify it simply as my car still ticks the right boxes!

A pleasant, practical, economical, reliable and comfortable car which has let me down only once in 97,000 miles of enjoyable motoring and still has plenty of life left in it. Who could ask for more?

I like the height of my car as I feel safer with better visibility, and I like the fuel consumption software that has taught me to drive more economically.

In the 3 years 11 months I have had this car, I have had trouble free motoring and no difficulty in acquiring the MOT certificate. I particularly like the dash mounted gear lever, which leaves space in front for secure and convenient handbag storage. I think it a shame that newer models are not as spacious, with huge consoles taking up too much space.

I like my car because it has easy accessibility and is easy to see out of the windows and windscreen. It is very reliable and has not broken down. It has plenty of boot space which is handy when we go on holiday as we can easily get out luggage into the boot without any undue bending. I would recommend a Picasso Xsara to anybody.

The car is extremely comfortable with plenty of space for three in the rear seats, economical to run and very easy to get in and out of for husband with arthritis. Easy to put rear seats up and down with a flat floor for dogs. Love it.

I bought my car as a used vehicle, about one year old, after renting a similar one on holiday in France and finding it very good to drive, roomy (I used it to transport furniture, etc, for our cottage)and economical. I've since driven it all over the UK and from Newcastle to Bordeaux on three occasions as well as local driving every day and been very happy with its performance. It may be rather boring and middle-of-the-road but its reliable, comfortable and virtually trouble free.
