My 2015 DSport 1.6 THP 165 is a great example of Citreön's attempt at creating something that's not just fun to drive and good looking but a nice smooth engine and decent fuel economy and the ability to achieve it on long drives as well as daily commutes such as my 20 mile daily drive to and from work. I did question French reliability and build quality compared to the Japanese having owned a number of Mitsubishi Colts prior. In all honesty the car does feel better quality all round compared to a variety of hatchbacks I have driven of all different ages (Corsa, Clio, Swift) and more comparable to a cheaper Mercedes/ BMW you may pay alot more money for. My only problem was when my clutch pedal collapsed moments after joining the M1 at Junction 29a however it was soon repaired luckily still under warranty but other than that, the odd fuse blowing that's about it. I love this car but it does not love speed bumps or potholes or any roads in the East Midlands basically. I would recommend the DSport as an alternative to anyone on a budget like myself who needs to consider reasonably affordable road tax and fuel economy but also wants to look sophisticated whilst doing so.
