DS 5 reviews

This is my fourth Citroën (or first DS, after three Citroën cars) Xantia, C5 twice and now the DS5 2018. I did what we all do when looking for a replacement car, read everything on it, watch every review on it, eventually I bought a high mileage car. Somehow seeing the car, was better than expected, it is a lovely looking car. When I saw it in person, I realised that the quality is just outstanding, not only was the car well appointed with exceptionally good quality leather, but the car is so well put together that my six year old car feels like new (and I drove many new cars as part of my work in my past). Above all, driving the DS5 is a real pleasure. Yes, it is quirky and takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get past that phase, the feel of quality throughout, the comfort which is well above my expectations and the surge of power, not fast off the mark, but incredible torque, which had a number of drivers trying to find out what car ot is. I cannot, reliably, comment on reliability because I am six weeks into my ownership of my DS5. Running costs, again a matter of time, but fuel consumption is entirely dependent on how you drive it, but, it is so tempting to feel that surge of power, occasionally. I cannot believe we buy cars so much on their past reputation, that many other cars (undeservedly) hold their value better than this gem! That they are no longer in production may be a good thing, as they might now be seen for what they are, a modern classic.

I bought my first DS5 performance line 6 months ago. All I can say is wow. Absolutely love this car. Love to drive it and it feels good in every aspect. Looks great and the styling is so well done. I’ve had a BMW and yes it is a good car but I’m sorry BMW I have to say this is a car that has definitely stolen my heart. And is more than ok it’s incredible. Well done DS. I will definitely when the time comes trading my DS5 for another one in there range.
