The main concern for the average car buyer would have to be reliability and running cost. with the sedici, to get both is a 50 50 chance. first you need one that as been well maintained and then treat it well or you will get pain lots of pain. other than that it performs well and is very practical if you like camping for instance and do a lot of long distance travelling. not a great buy for just city commuting it suffers from filter issues .

This has been a wonderful little 4x4 coping with snow and ice regularly on our narrow country roads, with the ability to change from 2 to 4 wheel drive at a press of a button. Equally good is the motorway performance, the six gears giving a good mpg. This would have scored 5 stars across the board had it not been for the dreaded DPF failing and our local fiat dealer(Arnold clark) asking for over £3300 for a replacement part.

My wife named our Fiat "Cassie". I don`t know why but there it is (Harry Worth for those of you who are old enough to remember him!!) Stunning car. If you require a four wheel drive without resorting to a full size behemoth then this is the car for you. Very clever selectable four wheel drive on the fly. Never let us down since we`ve had it ( two and a half years). Very able motorway cruiser. It has a high power to weight ratio. The six speed `box` enables you to cruise along motorways with consummate ease. Acceleration in 3rd to 6th gears is somewhat rapid if this is what is required. Flexible seating arrangements for up to five people. Some might say the engine sounds a little `agricultural` but so what. Well tried, tested and long lived powerplant. Fuel consumption is good in all environments. What else is there to say? So go and seek one out!!

One of the best cars we`ve ever owned. Has selectable four wheel drive which is very comforting in severe winter weather. Does not have the high running costs of full sized 4x4`s. The power to weight ratio is astonishing. Acceleraton rates are very good. Inside the cabin you have firm but comfortable seats. The seating arrangements are flexible so that, if necessary, awkward loads can be carried. Sits high off the road so the view from the cabin is good. The engine may sound a little `agricultural` but no worse than some other manufacturers efforts, the V.W Polo 1.4 diesel for eample (which sounds like a JCB!) Effortless motorway cruiser and frugal around town. Averaging 40 m.p.g. in most driving conditions. Perhaps one of the best kept secrets of the second hand car market. Why did Fiat stop producing it? Suzuki build their own version of the Sedici, marketed as the SX4. If you can find a low mileage examaple, as we did, then go for it. You`ll not regret it!

Great car with good handling, performance and running costs. Ideal for our weather conditions in Scotland especially living in a rural situation. The only let down is a dreaded DPF that Fiat want over £3000 for a replacement and its only done 58000 miles.

HAD THE CAR FOR THREE YEARS NOW AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT REALLY. SUSPENSION NEEDED REPAIRED BUT DUE TO STATE OF ROADS IN WINTER.
