Both sets of rear seats all come out. They were "light" to begin with, however, after having had the car for over 5 yrs. They have become increasingly "heavy" (old age) so I don't often take them out, unless I have to. I use a 4 wheeled trolley to move them from the car.lol I enjoy driving the car, it doesn't feel top heavy, its very stable, you can sling it around and throw it into the corners (if your inclined to do so. Modern Sedona's, come with reversing cams. I fitted my own, using after market products. As its such a long vehicle. Its necessary to have some sorta aid when reversing. My previous car was a Ford Mondeo Mk2 estate. The reason I bought the Kia was because I needed the height that I didn't have with the Mondy. So to conclude. It has everything I needed from an mpv, an more so, its also fitted with a drop down dvd player which u can use with infra red headphones. I like the styling, especially the ram air slot on the bonnet, gives it a "sporty look". It still seems modern, even after 5 yrs of ownership. I would like to try the newer models, which have the drop down seats which fold in the floor. But for now....... How reliable do you find the car? Very reliable. The usual wear and tear items. Heating pipes were spliced with rubber ones as they rusted (a common problem, apparently) Does the car do everything you expected it to do? Its big, comfortable, relatively quiet, powerful. With a high driving position on the rd. It feels more like a 4x4 than an mpv! Reliability: 4 out of 5 4.0 Meets Expectations: 5 out of 5 5.0 Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4.0 Paul recommended this car When purchased July 2012 Condition when bought Used Current Mileage 121,000 miles (when review was originally written Average MPG 28 mpg Update: Eventually after nearly 8 years (in March 2020) the gearbox went at 128K, so it had to be scrapped, but it was a fantastic car.

Got the sedona with 130,000 on it in 2016 for £1500. It was a 06 plate and my neighbour had it since new so i knew its history. Body is still a1 but everything else is corroding to death. Just not engineered robustly enough to last and this car had a full kia service history. It broke down 4 times for different reasons this year and parts have to be ordered into the uk so on one occassion we lost it for three weeks for a 4 inch piece of brake pipe which then cost £215 ! Buy cheap and pay through the nose for parts later. Look behind the oversize wheels and see how small the suspension parts are. We had two anti roll bars sheer and we arent exactly RAC rally people. Economy wise you can watch the dial go down as you drive. The handbrake is a pedle which is just irritating but not as bad as the indicator stalk being on the oposite side to all other cars. We genuinely hated this car and when i took it to seel to webuyany... i got £290 for it. To be honest i feel very bad as someone else will get it and the car just isnt any good. By design it just wont last and parts are a fortune. In hindsight i should have scrapped it no matter how good the body work looked. Sorry to the new owner.

We use the Sedona to v carry grand chilgren around, and to tow our caravan. It is very spacious bu heavy on fuel. One has to put up with the latter, when used as a towing vehicle, and alaso the stigme of running a large car.( I do not agree with the mongers who say that it is damaging the planet. Th eplanet is a very volitile place and we will never alter nature. The planet looks after itself, no matter what we through at it. Look what nature throws at it's self. It has cycles and always has had. We can not predict the future, but we can see the past Any way, back to the sedona. There is a lot of critisism about the Sedona, which is in my opinion unfounded.A lot of service problems which are manufactured out of the fact that most service centres now read too much into diagnostic information, instead of looking at logic. My own Sedona, after haing bee serviced, by a reputablr e name, started giving warnings that there was a problem with the fuel metering valve, and needed it replaced, at a cost of £3oo. Not so, just needed the air removing from the filter, left in by who ever was in a rush to finish the job. Our sedona is very well loved, and we will miss it when it finally has to go.

There is very little that you cannot do with it that I could not do with my previous van. The car takes 7 adults, and is better than the competition as it has real adult size seats and still space for bags bbehind. It is the best car I have had so far.

This vehicle has been used daily for the last 5years that i have owned it, apart from normal wear and tear it is very reliable. Having been used for everything from the school run to being used as a van ( with the seats removed the carrying capacity is huge).Fuel consumption can be high if driven aggresivly but if driven with a steady right foot can give very good return for the size of engine and vehicle. The big plus is the comfort of the cabin especially on longer journeys. (5 stars)

Being a 24/7 Carer of my elderly parents. I required it from new I drive approx about 5000 miles a year has done 51k I am still very pleased, it is a good around people carrier vehicle so far only needed as with all cars, regular weekly/yearly maintenance running expenditure, have spent more money on diesel running costs than cost of vehicle, I would consider a cheaper long term running cost greener vehicle

We enjoy our Kia Sedona so much that we've also bought a baby Kia - a Kia Picanto! They are reliable, comfortable, good value for money. Obviously, the Picanto is more economical to run on short journeys than the Sedona but the Sedona is a large family car with plenty of space. We are delighted with them both.
