I just bought this a few days ago paid 5750. Beautiful car . Has alot of paint Knicks. Lots of power. Reading some of these reviews I feel a bit sick to my stomach. I just sold my 2000 bmw 323i and loved that car. The way it handled was amazing , shocks were amazing handles so much differently than this mercedes . I'm already having regrets. My bmw leaked a lot of oil and other things but the way it drove. I miss it already. I hope and pray after getting different tires for this clk350 it will feel differently. It has low pros . Uuggh .

Only paid £3000 for my CLK320 convertible in stunning blue, cream leather interior and wood fascia’s. 75,000 miles from new, every extra and runs really smoothly. Very comfortable and by buying a wind breaker also help keep the wind at bay. Thoroughly enjoy driving it, won’t be long before we are all controlled by the state, so making the most of the cars appeal. No real issues, normal wear and tear, and remembered to change the gearbox oil at 70,000 miles. I expect to spend around £750 a year on the car, but with no depreciation, little purchase price, this is affordable driving, although it only does around 32mpg. Great fun!

I love this vehicle. If you can pick up a nice secondhand bargain and put a bit of money into it, it won't do you wrong. Quality car for a bargain price.

I have a CLK Convertible W208 and have had nothing but issues with it. I am used to maintenance and are not afraid to get the spanners out, but this car is almost becoming a full time job. It has done 500 miles in a year and in that time, it has needed or had ... Complete secondary air system (1 way valve, Vacuum Valve, both throttle bodies) 2 (yes I repeat that) ... 2 Camshaft sensors (and even now .. it is asking for a 3rd) Camshaft Sensor magnet MAP Sensor Fuse Box Cover (letting water in) Pre Cat Lambda Water Pump and belts Water Temp Sender Brake Servo (corroded) Full service items (to be expected) MAF Sensor Coolant Pre Heater Brake Vacuum line Passenger side Airbag cushion Every time this car starts up .. it throws a Engine Management light and either for something that has already been replaced or some random fault that just appears and then disappears after reset. I found out the previous owner removed the EML and now even after everything this car has had (over £600 on parts alone), I can understand why. But for the fact the car wouldn't get through the MOT without it .. I would do the same and just run it into the ground. Boy oh Boy ... I'm at the end of my tether with this one !!!

I bought this car to use for my work as it involve slot of tracks  on client site.CLK never let me down it is 100 percent reliable, running cost is bit higher mostly spring coil need change as car is designed very low but very comfortable. I bought car with 70000 miles and now it has 115000 miles never had any issue with the car. In motor way I get 45.5 mpg that the max you can get around town you will get 25 mpg. I love this car driving  position is very comfortable that you will never feel tired, I have done 300 miles 600 week but  all the journey been very relax. One of the feature I love about this car is when driving fast on motorway you will notice the car lower itself automatically for better stability on the road. I never regret getting this car I would never sell this car will be sad to see it going. Onlyone thing you have to be careful while driving local going fast on the local road bump/speed breaker  can cost you 200 pounds. Again car is worth every pence you spend on it. I would suggest try to get one with Bluetooth and have phone connection so you can enjoy your favourite music. In my car it had CD player but I would recommend to go for one phone connection is available. Car I gave use old Nokia to connect to car but ofcourse I am not using telephone as it required very old Nokia phone. Again I have done 45000 miles since got this car and still it is very strong engine I can still feel it is very powerful and got load of life in it. I would highly recommend this car.

I bought this car when it was 3 years old from a Mercedes Main Dealer in East Anglia. Great service throughout and that has continued in my new home 'up-north'. The body is showing slights signs of rust on the front offside wheel arch, I havent worked out if I should go to Mercedes to get them to comment. There are occasional issues with the on-board computer, it occasionally 'forgets' to move the wing mirrors in or out when locking/unlocking or seal the window after the door closes (opens them fine so the door can open so its not serious) but this rights itself after manipulation of the manual controls. The only real problems in the 115K miles I've had it are that the engine sometimes 'judders' on fierce acceleration (I've read that this problem is the computer which drives the Turbo - expensive to fix, more probably than the car is worth) and a smoky exhaust on, once again, fierce acceleration. Bit scared to find out what causes it, it passed its MOT, so the solution is to not drive it hard. Recently, I' ve had to have the front discs replaced (they were replaced 20K miles ago so this is slightly annoying) but having researched the issue, this is not unknown and I am not sure whinging to the dealers will achieve anything. In terms of MPG, I normally get 38-40 in Urban driving with 47-51 motorway at 75MPH ish, which isn't bad. Otherwise, although I should replace it (with another Merc I think) I dont think its quite time to to do so, I really like its relative simplicity when measured against the newer versions of similar cars. I will however, get a petrol car next time since the Minister Of Transport tipped us the wink.

I have had my Elegance for 9 years. Very comfortable car with leather ortho seats and good ride. Gets 35mpg on long runs but only 20 mpg around town which doesn't matter any more because I only do short runs these days. Has had the tin worm around the arches but had them seen to. Still a good looking car and the soft top is still good.If you have to buy MB parts they are expensive but it is possible to get more reasonable ones. It's your choice. Lots of electrics and booy space with top up and not too bad with it down for smaller items. Fairly quick with the supercharger remembering it's a big car but a great all-round vehicle.

This is a great car, reliable, engine is very responsive and fast when needed. It feels and handles like a brand new car. Shame about the rust though. The wheel arches are getting pretty rotten. The underneath is still pretty solid though. The bodywork is going to let it down long before the engine does. I see older car with far less rust than mine, in fact none, and cars which probably also cost far less when bought new. The only let down but a big one nevertheless. What happened there Mr Merc?

My wife and I have always run Mercedes or BMW saloons and sports cars. We enjoy the engineering and many safety and comfort features. We now run a 4.3 and a 2.4 litre CLK and will run them until we cannot drive anymore. We feel very safe and comfortable in these cars. They drive and stop beautifully. On board computers make diagnostics simple and relatively inexpensive. Asthetically they take a lot of beating and I take great pleasure in maintaining the bodywork, interior and engine bay in tip top condition. The fold down seats give a great load area for road trips. The pillar-less windows are a lovely design feature and make hot summer days an alfresco experience. Care must be taken when closing doors however as they can loosen or crack the mechanisms. The doors close very gently with the slightest nudge. We are definitely fans. Well done Mercedes.

Bought from a small independent The Car Store in Swansea. They were excellent, fixing one small problem and making the car ready when I wanted to collect. The car itself was AA checked although I have subsequently had my garage check it over and it comes with a clean bill of health. I am very pleased.
