Very reliable

The car comes into its own on long journeys but is still a reasonable short range run around which surprised us.

This is the third Peugeot that I have driven inthe last 12 years, and i have had no trouble with any of them. I dont drive far now, and i plan to keep this car for longer than any other car I have had,

Excellent family car, good to drive. Handles well for an estate. Quite powerful, even when loaded. Only disappointment are the main beam headlamps- rather weak.

This is my 2nd Peugeot estate. Both have proved reliable, very economic to run & not too expensive to maintain. The 307 had more comfortable seats but they are both smooth to drive. It is a nice looking car with loads of space inside. The interior is well designed & has flixible seating making it easy to travel conveniently with people/dogs/luggage on board. The computer makes it easy to monitor fuel consumption & gives other useful information. Being able to alter the angle & distance of the steering wheel is great. My only real disappointment is a general one really - most cars at the moment seem to have smaller rear windows & therefor more blind spots & less vision especially when trying to negotiate tight spaces.

About the only things I can find fault with it, is that the horn is a bit feeble and the reversing lights could do with being about ten times brighter.

I do a lot of miles in the year as my children all live at least 3.5 hours away from me and it is the only way I will keep up with the progress of my grandchildren. My Peugeot is an extremely comfortable car for me to drive and for my husband to fall asleep in! It has never let me down and the only reason I would part with it is because I don't like driving a car with high mileage. As a retired lady of mature years I need to feel confident that the car won't break down, and the chance of that grows with the number of miles on the clock.

it does appear that if a manufacturer sticks with a basic good model and just updates and modernises as it goes , we do not have to go through the test trial business of being the first to use them , ( guinea pigs ) , after the 306 the 307 was nearly rubbish , but with common sense the 308 put all those failures right again , not a perfect example but close .

Purchased on 01/08/2013 new. The 1560cc diesel engine is surprisingly lively considering the size of the car.Living in the Peak District most of our journeys are hilly ones and miles per gallon so far average mid to high 50's. On a run to the east coast and back the low 60's were achieved. The interior is comfortable and spacious and the offset driving position appears to have been rectified.Seats are simple to fold making the already impressive boot cavernous. Road holding is excellent, feedback reassuring and all-round vision excellent. The headlights are outstanding. Heating, air-con and controls are well positioned and easy to use. The only, slight, criticisms would be an irritating reflection of the top of the dashboard on the windscreen and the small wiper being on the drivers side although visibility is not really compromised. Altogether an excellent vehicle.

In Diesel format I have been averaging 52.2mpg over the last 9000 miles. Purchased from the main dealer where the car is maintained I have found it reliable and a highly suitable car, especially in the summer when the roof is down. It sits well on the road, but is not what I would call a sports car. It happily runs on the motorway at 70mph. I am a lazy driver, tend not to race through the gearbox, but like to drive with a leisurely style. It will take 4 adults with ease but is perfect for two especially with the deflector. Would I purchase another? Probably but it is an expensive Peugeot and I am not sure the extra is really worth it. I got quite a good deal when purchasing it at 3 years old with 30,000 on the clock.
