Have owned this car for nearly 6 years now and done 103k miles out of the 119k on the clock. It's got me from A to B and back again every single day. It's still on the original clutch, exhaust and suspension.Apart from a brake caliper and valve cover gasket it's been no bother at all.I've made sure it's serviced regularly, which I've mainly done myself.Easy to change the oil on these. No bleed valves on the cooling system and easy enough access to the spark plugs and fuel filter. For as much as I trust this car it is not easy at all to source parts.Proton left the u.k around 2012 and they are becoming a rarer sight on the roads. This will be the last proton I own then.If the Preve and new Saga models were on sale here I would carry on as a proton owner. In my opinion Proton cars flew under the radar in terms of reliability while the Japanese companies made the headlines.

Have had a Proton for 25 - 30 years. Have never had a problem with any of them and have found them extremely good value for money complete with all the extras provided. Could never understand why they were not more popular generally which is probably the reason they do not seem to be imported these days. Renewed my vehicle every 3 years but have been unable to do so and am grateful the one I have is so reliable, and consider it well worth maintaining. Long may it live!

Car is coming up for 22years old and never been any trouble. Apart from new batteries, tyres, exhaust etc. Has passed 19 MOT's. Bodywork almost as good as new, engine nothing gone wrong.
