Seat has really found its feet since being part of the Volkswagen Group, particularly with popular cars like the Ibiza and Leon. But buyers had to wait until 2016 before they could get an SUV from the Spanish firm, with the Ateca being its first.
Launching at the end of the year with a range of petrol and diesel engines, the Ateca was a quick hit with families who valued its sportiness and stylishness, which really put it ahead of the competition. An FR model launched to bring racier styling, while a 2020 update saw the Ateca get a freshened design and additional technology.
