Used Mazda 6
Although it might not be a class leader in the family saloon market, the Mazda 6 does have buckets of mass-market appeal. Cheaper to run that the Ford Mondeo, with plenty of space in both front and back (as well as a very useful 483 litre boot), and with agile, borderline sporty handling, its pros are numerous. The interior might not exude the same refinement and style the rest of the car does, but outside it is eye catching enough to match its sportier edge.
