I've owned four Jaguars and this has been more reliable than any of them. I bought it 6 years ago in a neglected state and sent it to a specialist to put right. It has never let me down and the only problems have been minor electrical ones. However it now needs a cylinder head gasket. Servicing can sometimes be expensive. But against that, it uses less fuel than my wife's Honda Civic. It's extremely comfortable and I've never felt tired after driving long distances. It has only two problems: 1) space. The car was meant for a tyre repair kit, the space-saver spare being an optional extra. Without the spare, the boot space would be tolerable. But with it, there's only room for one suitcase. And getting it out is not so easy due to it needing to be lifted out vertically. Also the two rear seats are useless. 2) Trying to see behind when reversing is very difficult. However, I had reversing sensors fitted and now it's easier to reverse than my wife's Civic.

Unfortunately sometimes all that glitters is not gold. I had always wanted a GTV so bought one. The vehicle was grossly unreliable and cost me a fortune in repair bills. I finally unloaded it as a part ex. Buyer beware.
