the cheapest,most reliable, and best car ive ever had.Well worth the investment made 9 years ago and still going strong!!!!!!

I have just purchased the new 3 series X drive and while I have not yet been able to test it on snow the overall performance of the twin turbo 2 ltr engine is very good . This is my third 320 but first 8 speed automatic, the acceleration on this is much better than the previous two although they were not slow either . I have just driven 160 miles from the south east to Manchester and my mpg was 38 + although there were quite a lot of the usual speed restrictions on the M1/M6 hence the average speed was only 60+ overall. I have bought my 3rd new BMW as I have found them extremely reliable and my local main dealer gives me excellent service. The new model is slightly longer, 9 cm, so the boot is bigger which is a plus as the previous models were a tight fit for luggage. There is a bit more legroom at the back too so that is a plus as well. I cannot think of anything I would want to change I am retired so all three purchases have been private not company

Good looking & well made vehicle with good quality interior trim & spec, comparitively cheap running costs & lively performance. Slightly harsh ride in 'M' sport specification made worse by condition of local roads.

Great car except for the firmness of the ride. I have the 19" low profile tyres and the current state of the roads makes the ride unpleasant at times.

Being tall I find long journeys hard work but do not need anything bigger ie 5 series

We had the 2001 version of the same model which we 'loved'. This purchase 2012 design was a disappointment. The glove compartment is very small the inside storage is non existent, the rear of the car has no storage whatsoever although if we wish we can PURCHASE extra storage!! all in all very poor!! The ride is a little hard but a very 'sporty' to drive.

Comfortable & reliable but take out extra personal life insurance when it starts snowing! The worse car I have ever driven on icy roads, a real challenge to keep it moving in a straight line. Pretty economical on a long haul but disappointing on urban cycle. Not as much space as one would hope for an estate car in the back.

This is my 8th BMW in 12 years. The make and models of all the cars have been excellent. They do cost aliitle more due to extras, you don't have to have them, but the resale price is always very good. I would not consider any other make while I still drive. My rating above show how I have found everything to be. Also excellent service and sales from my local garage.

Although its getting old nnow and its getting time for a change, This car has been very good to me ,over all these years.11 years to be exact. It has been a great car.I have loved it.

A beautiful car to drive in all respects. Certainly, the best car I have driven in my 54years of driving. I am now in the process of changing to an automatic transmision which I expect to be an even greater pleasure to drive.

Had the hatchback been available 3 years ago, I would have gone for it. The saloon has proved somewhat restrictive with helping children move flats and the arrival of grandchildren! Having said that, as saloons go, it is comfortable and reliable. With the service plan, there has been no expenditure apart from tyres which being run flats though, are not cheap.

She's been a good car, and still going strong after all these years. It's certainly worth paying as much as possible to get a superior car. It's comfortable, responsive, and fun to drive. The boot is a good size, even when the top is down.

I have had the car for over tem years, and have found the vehicle very really reliable & well built, the only failure during that time was the starter motor, still the origional Battery & exhaust (car has now done nearly 100,000 miles, no rust and paint work is as good as new. Highly recommended as a car for long term ownership.

Only one downside the automatic stop start, awful would not have it again by choice.

This is a great car. It is practical, spacious yet great fun to drive. I love the way it is built to last and the little details like the self de misting wing mirrors, dimmed rear view mirror to stop glare, handy first aid kit, little torch hidden in the glove compartment. When not caked in Devon mud it looks good too!

This is my second such car, both bought new, one kept for 2years and current for 5. Apart from servicing neither has required any attention, and although a bit limited for luggage space both have proved to be excellent cars, if a trifle expensive after a few extras, leather, xenon lights,etc. Would recommend this car with the proviso not too much luggage area, but pretty reasonable mpg with a fair bit of acceleration when required, although should mention a little bit of wind noise at high speeds.

Travelled to France this summer, excellent of fuel so kept the cost of the holiday down. Used for multiple short journeys at work Monday to Friday, also trips at the weekend, still very economical Best of all £20 per annum road tax. Too soon to judge maintainance costs.
