Little engine, decent poke, fun to drive & comfy. £0 road tax, but not the most economical.

Actually I have a Fiat Uno but I was not given an option to write about that model. The cinquecento is very similar but smaller. I bought my Uno for £485 in 2008 and once I had fixed all of the faults that it developed over the course of the next 18 months (mainly due to previous neglect)it has been a brilliant car. It gives over 50mpg on long runs, it is very nippy and a delight to drive, and is now reliable for long journeys. I spend very little on maintenance and parts are incredibly cheap. Rear seats are not very comfortable and the only other fault is the ease of breaking into the base model, that I have. I prefer to drive an older car as it is far cheaper to maintain and more user friendly than a modern car full of electronic gadgets. - I will therefore keep my Uno as long as possible as this is the greenest form of motoring.
