I purchased my doblo secondhand and despite initial glow plug problems a front suspension problem during the first 15 months she has been a fantastic comfortable practical workhorse. I am considering purchasing another in the next 12 months. Using redex I do get around 34.7 [prior to this only 32.1mpg] I only drive local stop-start so am sure more mileage would be achieved on longer drives.

Poor mileage pdf filter needs regeneration every 200/250 miles And then half the time does not regenerate and you need to do a forced regeneration with garage Becoming costly

It is a very basic looking car, but excellent amount of space all round including head height. Had a few problems, mainly with the filters. Suits our needs and life style.

A good all round car, but things like comfort and performance sacrificed

Bought this model to accommodate 5 large dogs ( not necessarily all at same time) - perfectly happy with the model - love Fiat, love my Doblo ...BUT ...only irritation is on few occasions after leaving car in garage for a while - FLAT BATTERY - ??? Garage have failed to locate source of fault evidently something not turning off?

Car bought new in 2005. Very reliable. Never broken down. Never had to replace a single light bulb in 132000 miles. Front tyres replaced every couple of years / 22000 ish miles. Fuel economy is amazing: just returned average of 59.6 mpg over 4 days mixed roads driving of over 500 miles. Turbo kicks in at around 3000rpm. Exhaust system 2/3 replaced after 10 years and around 125000 miles. Only quibble is drivers seat needed re-upholstering after 65000 miles and could do with same again. All other seats pristine, but hardly used. There is rather flimsy plastic support called a SPREADER that keeps the foam together inside the back of the seat. When one was ordered, Fiat were not at all surprised, apparently. One more thing - my car is sky blue and insects tend to think it actually IS the sky. Am forever cleaning debris of insect corpses off it. Good job washer reservoir is enormous - over 5 litres! Screen is also a magnet for stone chips, but only 2 new screens in 11 years better than some cars I've had. All in all, a hugely versatile car. Best I've had. Great for touring, runabout, people carrying, economical, huge boot space if you fold the passenger seats down too - can get 2 full size bicycles in, including those with wicker baskets on the front and rear racks, without taking the front wheel off and space for a suitcase as well. Engine still has lots of life left in it Will get another when this one reaches end of life, but probably not before.

Perhaps not the prettiest car on the road but very practical. Lots of boot space, huge, higher driving position, comfortable, good consumption, have had 4 of these and my last ones done 270,000 and 220,000 until stolen, without any major repairs.

Not a very pretty vehicle but has proved to be the most practical family car I have owned. Reasonably inexpensive to run. Good MPG, especially on a good run. It takes huge loads to the dump, it gets packed to capacity on camping trips as well as pull a trailer, it carries all the student paraphernalia to and from university and between digs, it even carries members of a rock band and their equipment to and from various gigs and rehearsals, without any complaints, it drives the same as when I first got it. It fits perfectly on the drive and despite its bulk is quite easy to manoeuvre in and out of parking spots. I dont think I could have managed this with many other family saloons/estates that retail for twice the price. It will be difficult to replace. I keep looking around but nothing else seems to be as versatile and hard working.

A good all round practical vehicle. Good visibility, comfortable, doubling up as useful van.

A good cheap and reliable car, plenty of space. Upright driving position which won't suit everyone, especially on longer journeys.

This is the most practical vehicle I have owned. The only drawback is lack of turbo and the high price of tax (£280).This is due to emissions. It does 52mpg which is another plus.
