Have two Mondeo Estates cannot fault them. The older 2008 has done 260,000 miles and is still great to drive. Also have a Porsche 911 and an Audi and prefer to drive the Mondeo. even the big dog prefers the back of the Mondeo !!

Amazing car, I've owned around 25 cars since 2009 and I can honestly say this is the absolute best by far. I bought 2 in the end because they're just a great all rounder. The 3.0 V6 duratec is smooth and after a remap pulls well throughout the range. A good exhaust and induction kit and they sound amazing

Having owned this car for five years and sixty thousand miles I cannot praise this car enough for its performance so far. Reliable comfortable and with plenty of power well built it still provides enjoyable motoring over all types of roads. To sum up l cannot understand why people waste money on equivalent mercedes or BMWs having owned both for what appear to me to be inferior vehicles

My Mondeo is the 3rd of the generation to bear this name. Having previously owned earlier models I am able to undertake direct comparisons between each. The key point is that the Mondeo is not just apparent body shapes under the same names, the technology has evolved each generation and each time noticeable improvements have been made a point that car review experts overlook. To some its an unassuming car, but to owners it is closer to ideal than many of the more suggested advanced cars of the same era., which may turn out to be more complex, unreliable with an overall higher lifespan cost. Much of the car can be repaired outwith a main dealer and often by the owner with reasonable DIY skills. With an overall proven and simple design, the competent owner can also identify and complete minor adjustments or repairs before a problem gets worse.

Good "motorway car". New petrol engine surprisingly powerful. Previous had a 2 litre version but this 1600cc is better. Very well equipped with electronics for everything. And therein lies my only real gripe. Sometimes it seems it is too clever for its own good. So the doors will sometimes refuse to open or the mirrors, which fold when you lock the car, will be unfolded when you return to the car and you wonder what happened. And on two occasions I have returned to the car to find all the windows have rolled down of their own accord. Impossible to get the dealer to deal with "intermittent" faults that aren't present when they have the car. Also has had other issues. Within first few weeks the car would not start again after an "auto stop" at lights. Had to be towed. Had car for 18 months and recently there was a recall for the "automatic headlight" system (although I had experienced no problem). After the fix was applied by the dealer the DAB radio stopped working and that has turned into a nightmare as the dealer can see/hear it doesn't work but their diagnostics show nothing. Electronics again! It's much bigger than previous versions so parking sensors are essential and it annoys my wife that it now won't go in the garage. I enjoy driving the car but am beginning to think either I got a "Friday afternoon" build or there are some fundamental reliability issues with the electronics so no sure I'll have another one.

As long as the DMF doesn't fail(£££££), it's a fairly cheap car to run every day, & a practical load carrier. Combined avg 52mpg (78k) Watch out for coloured indicator bulbs not emitting enough orange light on MOT day (if at a dealer, book your free retest & change them yourself (£3/4 at Halfords, £17 at Ford)

CAR HAS BEEN VERY RELIABLE. IT IS QUITE OLD AND ONLY LET ME DOWN ONCE WITH A STARTER MOTOR NOT WORKING. APART FROM THAT IT HAS ALWAYS STARTED FIRST TIME. APART FROM THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL EXHAUST SYSTEM .THE HEATED FRONT WINDSCREEN IS AMAZINGLY AFFECTIVE AND SHOULD BE FITTED ON ALL CARS BY LAW.

I have had my current car for 3 years and have had no problems at all. I can get 700 miles to a tank full of diesel on a long run, South Coast to Dundee without filling up on the motorways. I tow a caravan and find that the car performance while towing is great, the MPG obviously goes down but still 30 MPG. It has plenty of boot room and carries 5 in comfort. This is my second Mondeo and it has given me no reason not to get another in the future

Average well over 50mpg with sensible driving. Good comfort and handling regardless of the vehicle being loaded or empty

I never thought I would better my old Volvo 740 but I was wrong as the Mondeo is VASTLY cheaper to run, service and replacement parts are a fraction of what I used to pay. In the 13 years I have had the car I have only had minor expenses like tyres, a few discs (which living on the coast without a garage had rusted!) and a couple of window motors. I average around 39 MPG, again a big improvement on the Volvo

I bought my Mondeo second hand, it had only one previous owner and was 6 months old. It has almost every extra that you could ask for and is a luxurious car BUT it has terrible miles per gallon. My previous car was a diesel Mondeo estate and the fuel economy on long motorway journeys was great although it dropped in town. The petrol engine however is very thirsty and at best I seem to get about 30 mpg on a run. It drops terribly in town. The seats, which are leather are extremely comfortable and I like the driving position which has several adjustable features. The load space at the back is large and (for me) one of the best features is the remote opening and closing of the boot/5th door, really useful if you've got your arms full or you've taken something out and you're walking away. It has a reversing camera which is useful from both a safety point of view as well as maneuvering into tight spaces. I'm told it has auto park but I've never quite worked out how to use it or felt the need although if the car could bring itself out when someone's parked too close to me and I can't get in that would great.

The Mondeo Titanium X is the most comfortable car that I've had the pleasure to drive. I've had 70+ MPG on a long run and 40+ MPG around town driving.

The Mondeo is underrated quietly going about its job. It has pace with space. Will be buying another Mondeo in due course.
