Having just had a failure of the power stearing system whilst my wife was driving from Scarborough to North Wales we are not feeling too happy at the moment with the reliability, It has been put right by the agent without charge though we lost the use of the car for a week whilst parts were obtained and fitted.

Excellent overall. The only negative is the lack of power when overtaking. This must be planned well ahead. Rear visibility is also restricted to a degree.

I normally change my car every 3 years, but am so happy with my 2008 Hyundai i30 that I am reluctant to change it. It is very economical to run, very reliable and tows our caravan beautifully.

ALTHOUGH SIX YEARS OLD NOW OUR HYUNDIA WAS BOUGHT AS A SECOND HAND FIVE YEAR OLD WITH 10,000 ON THE CLOCK. IT WAS IN IMMACULATE CONDITION. IT IS LOADED WITH MOST OF THE SAFETY FEATURES ONE WOULD GET WITH A MORE EXPENSIVE CAR AND THE BUILD QUALITY IS EXCELLENT.IT REALLY IS BUILT LIKE A GOLF. THE ONLY SMALL NEGATIVE I HAVE IS THE RIDE IS VERY FIRM, NOT HELPED BY THE 17'' ALLOY WHEELS. ON A MID RANGE CAR SUCH AS THIS SUCH LARGE ALLOYS WERE NOT NECESSARY.

A very good value for money car, especially with the 5 year warranty and breakdown cover. Since owning it I have averaged over 50 mpg

Bought from new. Covered 62000 miles with no trouble. Always reliable, very easy to drive and sufficient space for our needs. Apart from tyres and regular services at correct times, the car has needed nothing, regularly passing MOT tests with only a tyre needed. Would have preferred a little more economy but, with no oil or water ever needed between services, I am more than pleased. My second Hyundai (the first was a Matrix and equally reliable) I would definitely be considering another when I change, probably an I20,

comfortable on long trips. Ecconomical. Useful load space and no lip for loading. Annoying that the back seats do not fold completly flat.

my previous car was stolen, and I hired cars for three or four months. I was very pleased with the Hyundai hire cars, so looked for a dealer authorised used Hyundai. My i30 has dealer guarantee until 2016 and I have had it for four months. It is economical and a pleasure to drive

Our car is used mainly for local journeys and is very economical on fuel. On long journeys also very economical and reliable but a slightly hard ride. Road Tax of £35 pa very good!

I have had the car for almost 5 years and I will be changing in the new year for another very similar. I may go for a petrol engine as my mileage is now not so great and diesel is so expensive in UK. I am delighted with the performance and the comfort. There is plenty of room and it is a pleasure to drive in any conditions. I drive regularly on my own in France and in London and it is as comfortable and easy in either case.

A reliable and comfortable vehicle, economical on fuel. Can maintain a good steady speed for motorway driving and is excellent for short journeys. Plenty of leg room for back seat passengers and adequate boot capacity. Driver's seat adjustment very flexible.

The Hyundai i30 is just fine, not terrible not awesome, if you need a medium sized family car then definitely consider the Hyundai i30 as it is just fine.

It is extremely comfortable and reliable. The full air conditioning is superb and there is a docking port for an iPod incorporated into the CD player & radio. The big gripe I have is the very disappointing fuel consumption. If I remember correctly Hyundai quoted 70+mpg on a long journey and about 55mpg 'mixed' driving. The best I have achieved travelling at 55mph on a long run is 45mpg. It is also very underpowered and I would recommend that the minimum should be a 1600cc engine in conjunction with a turbo.
