Bought this off my mates daughter as she needed the space. 30k on the clock. Showroom condition brg and nice wheels. Only issue is no leather soon to be rectified. I love it! Bought for my lady as a present but looks like I drive it more than her.. Cheap to run and insure on classic policy but great fun. No issues yet. Rust free. Totally reliable. MOT pass yearly no issues. Lovely drive. Only things done are new rear window and proper suspension regard which were both well worth it. Great little car! Go but one while they are a look cheap!!!

My first time I see a mgtf was my son buying his around 2014. My husband particularly liked it so my son then purchased one for him, another tf. We had great fun with rides out, especially with roof down. It wasn't long after 2016 that I decided I wanted one, but I like the shape of the mgf. I'm now the proud owner of a 1996 mgf. Oh wait, didn't stop there. Our other son decided to buy one too after the fun he could see we were having in them. We are now a proud family of 4 MGs. They are a very social little car. We are members of many mg groups and do lots of charitable runs in them like Friends Round London, this is a drive round the M25 at midnight in February with roofs down. Also last year made the trip to the peaks for the Topless Around the Peaks run, both raising money for charity while having fun. We have made many friends through these advents too. About the little car... We find them very comfortable to drive. Very reliable, using them all year round. Head gasket, so many people go on about them. Look after the car, check water daily and keep up with maintenance. We haven't had any problems. Economicable to run we find. Would highly recommend them

Acquired the car in 2010, 2 previous owners who hadn't really looked after it, but the mileage was low for the year. Took it to a MG specialist who scheduled several items that needed attention which I put right over a 3 month period and then I started to enjoy it and discovered that in comparison to more modern 2 seater sports cars it could certainly hold it own and that includes the worlds best selling sports car. I like the mid engine arrangement which gives you a decent sized boot for a weekend away and a spare wheel (a rarity in all modern cars). The cabin is relatively roomy and the driving position, whilst low,is excellent. The only downside was the door window to roof seals which are a bit hit and miss and can leak in driving rain but this can be a problem with all soft top folding roofs. HGF can be sorted on these cars and provided you keep the header tank filled with the right antifreeze mixture and not just plain water you shouldn't have a problem. Look after these little gems and you will have a smile on your face whenever you take them out.

They're certainly not practical and not particularly cheap to run There are certainly better 2 door convertibles available But there is something difficult to define about my MGF that I really like; I think it's a beautiful shape and I love the silly pompous MG history that tends to go with that marque (even though old MG owners probably look down their noses at the F) It can plod around town quite well but does very exciting things when the revs are plus 4000 It's not brilliant and there are no "toys" on it but I really don't want anything else

expect the head gasket to go but once replaced with the improved version its a quite reliable car. Very quick and excelent road holding. enough room for a 6ft 20 stone driver in relative comfort although like most sports cars a new spine seems like a good idea after a long journey. Bigger boot than you expect and is a practical all year round car.

I love my car despite having to have two Cylinder Head Gaskets and it started to rust around the top of the windscreen after only 5 years which was tricky to fix. Now it is more than 12 years old there is more rust around the wheel arches. It is a pleasure to drive and when the sun shines - there is nothing better than putting the roof down. I hope it lasts me for many more years to come.
