Looks smart from outside, plenty of space inside, comfy seat, bad points are the engine is absolutely gutless unless you floor the accelerator, poor mpg, heater controls aren’t easy to use whilst driving, eyes of the road too much to work them out, suspension is non existent feels like your riding a brick, had it for a week and then got rid,

Bought this car only six months old and nothing but problems. First the engine lights none stop and no one able to fix the dam thing due to not knowing much about these cars. Difficult to find parts all of which are cheap thin plastic. Then the door lock went and car keeps beeping all the time thinking the door is unlocked when it is clearly shut, then the tyre pressure light, sensors etc. Would never buy this car again. Only four years old.

I've had two MG3s the first was because i needed a cheap car for work. It was a 64 plate and i did many many miles in it. Seemed reliable, averaged about 39mpg and serving was reasonable. Anyway i became quite fond of it as it looked quite good. I purchased a the newer version, a 2018 model. Lovely looking little car with good spec and was temptes by the price and 4 years warranty. A few down points, No sat nav and The Apple play is just a gimmick really. 4 years warraty left on it which was the deal maker when I got the car from Motorpoint. After 2 months notice rust above the windshild and under the bonnet. Also the air conditioning broke. These cars are cheap, becuase they are inferior quality, as the rust after 2 year shows. The 7 year warranty kind of lulls you into a false sense of security, but don't expect the warranty to be honoured. After sales and customer services are worse than poor. My car is only 2 years old and MG are not honouring the warranty and making it very difficult. Pity as i really wanted to like the brand. Be weary though because although the 7 year warranty sounds great it means nothing and MG actively seem to seek to undermine it. My confidence in the brand has slowly melted away due to poor customer services and after sales assistance and a lack of honesty to honour the warranty by MG UK. I wouldn't buy another after this experience and I would advise to steer clear unless you want something cheap, but just don't expect the warranty to be honoured if something goes wrong.

This is a well made and comfortable vehicle, it handles and rides well and is easy to drive. The economy could be a little better and the boot space could be a little larger, but all-in-all I am very pleased with the car.

I wanted an MG and was attracted to the New MG3 for the look of it and the competitive price of the current models MG Longbridge were good enough to allow me to try one for a long weekend free of charge and I was not disappointed I have now purchased a top of the range MG 3 style model with extras and personalised bodywork and wheels The car appears to suits my needs for an evenings and weekend runabout it is well put together had plenty of features standard which other manufacturers want added costs for It is economical between 43 and 48 mpg, and gives a good turn of acceleration. The driving position is good it holds the road very well when pushing on Low purchase costs, Low insurance rating and cheap servicing makes this a cheap car to run. The car gets a lot of admiring looks and people like the shape and the specification, in fact my brother has bought an MG 3 after using mine for a couple of weeks All in all a nice looking car which fits my needs and from reports from the current owners is reliable, having seen what has been written about the models, I find the professional reviewers very biased against what was part of the British car industry, and take no notice of what is said. You need to try this car and not be influenced by the reviews
