I have owned my asx 4wd auto exceed 2.0 petrol coming up to 5 years only 15,000 miles (covid lockdowns & retired) but had zero problems the best vehicle i have ever owned, like an old trusty pair of slippers lol its comfy reliable plenty fast enough for me and on a 20 mile trip not unusual to average 45 mpg from a 2.0 petrol cvt 4x4 thats outstanding! Only criticisms road noise from tyres can be intrusive and paintwork is thin & scratches even on a slight brushes with a privet hedge or foliage at side of narrow country roads. Yet my valet guy says all modern cars have thin paintwork as they use less paint clear coat to save weight & money plus now water based. I often think it may scratch if a leaf blows on it! Lol. But my Mitsubishi asx is the first vehicle in 70 +years after owning 30 various motors that i am struggling to upgrade as i cannot bare to part with it! Its like an old trustworthy friend.

Purchased this year (2016) and has been a joy to own and run. Smooth engine and excellent automatic transmission make it quiet to drive. Audio and Sat Nav are good quality. Servicing and maintenance have been inexpensive. Only negative so far is the amount of wind and road noise on motorways.

For reliability + comfort + practicality, easily the best car I have owned in my 50 years on the road.

Owned car from new - excellent performance, reliable just had first MOT and taken out a service plan with dealer. New model when purchased - only car I have considered keeping after the three year period. Highly recommend as an all round cross over vehicle. Did not purchase the 4 wheel drive version but am happy with the 1600 performance for my needs.

I downsized from LWB Shogun as my driving needs changed on my retirement. I have been impressed with the standard of Mitsubishi servicing and their cars for over 20-odd years and so decided to stay with the marque after checking several other crossover types. The finish, power, handling and overall flexibility of use is excellent. There are three minor disappointments however: 1. Driver visibility is restricted by thick door pillars, requiring a "rocking and rolling" by the driver to see safely, especially at junctions. 2. Parallel parking would be very difficult but for the rear-view camera system 3. The six speed manual gear box is very "notchy" and it is too easy to miss a change when a rapid series is required.

Good all round car. Only drawback is there are not enough dealerships and the ones they have are not large enough.

No real comment to add, except that it is comfortable on a long journey
