Only had it 5 mnths but after 7K miles, I think it is one of the best with an average of 50-55 miles/gallon and a smooth ride that makes my 200 miles per week (one journey) very comfortable. The gadgetry is very good: my favourites are the automatic headlights, the automatic handbrake, the no key unlock/start, and the sat nav. All available on other cars but not at such a price, nor in such a smallish economical car that impresses passengers with its smoothness.

Great extras, eg cruise control, front and rear fogs, leather seats, panoramic roof and good high ride.

Bought the qashqai having had several totally reliable Nissans over the 50 years of my motoring history. Had present one now for 7 years, and done very small mileage, so was somewhat disappointed when the clutch hydraulics failed. Was even more disappointed, that the repair was not just a matter of replacing the cylinder, but involved the whole clutch assembly at a cost of over £700.

I enjoy this car because of the ease in getting in and out of the car. It has got good boot space and also the back seat is moveable

As a retired person I don't need a high performance car, which is just as well. This car is a bit slow to accelerate and I wish I had been able to afford a later model with a slightly better engine - perhaps the running costs would have been higher - important on a fixed pension. Having said that the car is very comfortable even on long journeys and even elderly limbs can get in and out easily.

Love driving my qashqai would recommend this car for comfort and space. Onlyou downside us the customer service of nissan is the worst I've come across. Spent £25000 on a car and was expecting at least some petrol in the tank, was lucky to make it to the petrol stationot. Had a couple of minor issues with car but very poor response from nissanow, won't return calls etc. Nice car justo poor customer service.

Bought Qashqai for reliability as drive regularly to visit aged relative .Mainly motorway driving. Unremarkable car with plasticky interior and well documented niggly faults eg back lid does go up high enough. Economy round town low 40,s but 57mpg on motorway compensates . Deisel engine is a little noisy at low revs. Two steering recalls. After three and half years and 60,000 miles the hydraulics failed such that my wife had to brake to stall the engine and halt the car. My grandson was on board. Had she been travelling at speed on the main road the consequences could have been serious. It transpired that the dual mass flywheel had failed. Nissan were entirely unsympathetic . A flywheel is not a consumable but rather a significant structural engine part that should not fail given the age and alleged quality of this brand of vehicle. Needless to say I will not be replacing this car with another from this manufacturer.

We brought a car on Saturday 28th February 2015 in Vospers Exmouth branch and was dealt with by a man called Lloyd. We were dealt with very professionally and promptly. The car was a used car and had been serviced and valated and waiting on fore court for us on arrival after a 2 and half hour drive to collect it. As we lived so far away, Lloyd videoed the car for us to show us in and out what the car thoroughly looked like so that we didn't have to go backwards and forwards to look at it. The car is my best car yet and best service we have received. I would recommend Vospers in Exmouth to anyone looking for a car new or used. Excellent service. Thank you Lloyd. What a nightmare to deal with the DPF filter. It has been regenerated twice even though I keep taking the car to the motorway for a good drive almost on weekly basis. Only 6000 miles and I am already looking for a new petrol car as this problem is just unacceptable for a car almost new. Be aware the warning light for the filter won't come up and instead an engine malfunction together with the start stop system failure. Petrol consumption nowhere near the official.

Brought new, advertised at 64.9mpg but I only get 54, using motorway at 75mph only high40's, shocking really! Also air conditioning pipe was rattling when I picked it up, new one fitted. Just few days driving and the simulated leather seat puckered up, bad material, what are NISSAN doing about it nothing. Carpet material cheap, very hard to vacuum clean not like my BMW! Parking, front buzzer keeps sounding off, back to garage again. Watch out for tyre kit, every language but English, dark at night problems plus when you have used it tyre has to be replaced, mine was at2,000 miles only!!!! Otherwise a good car!!!

Purchased new qashqai in march 2014. Very disappointed with interior noise levels, unless on a really smooth surface you get a continuous roar, this ear bashing completely drowns out any wind or engine noise.Road noise starts from approx 20mph and increases so when you come to a standstill your ears are ringing. This is my second qashqai and now my last.

Each time the car has gone for its MOT I have incurred costs of about £400 to £600 for a car that has done only 28,000 miles. My last Nissan did not cost this until its last two years of its 11 year life. However this may be a cautionary tale, the car was not MOT at Nissan but Halfords and I have no way of assessing whether the charges were reasonable or even needed next year it will go back to Nissan despite being many miles further to go.
