Engine. Warning light came on (orange) took to garage, they said the fuel pump was faulty (breaking down and putting swarf into the engine, diagnostic test was sent to manufacturers who said it needed a complete fuel system renewal, front to rear including. Fuel pump, injectors, filter etc cost for parts up to now £6.500, up to present they have had the car over three weeks and the fuel pump at present has not arrived, and they cannot say when or where it will come from (somewhere in Europe) I live in hope.

I have had the car for nearly a year, driven about 25000 miles in it on a mix of roads. My previous car was a 2017 308 hatchback 1.6L. The first thing I have to say about the car, I don't like the look of it (company car so I get no choice). The oddly small rear windows and flat panel over the wheel arch is off-putting but the front of it is just plain ugly. Looking online though, I seem to be alone in this view. Second major issue I have with this car is despite it being bigger than my old 308, I actually have LESS room in the boot and LESS pockets, hideaways etc in the car. I don't even have an armrest in the centre. I cannot fathom how they have managed this, this boot came with an extra 'layer' in the boot which I just straight away removed so I could gain some more depth, no spare wheel just the tyre repair kit (useless), and yet I still couldn't fit all my tools and equipment that was in my 308 into the boot of this 'SUV'. Talking of space, I am a 6ft guy and the second I sat down in the car it felt small. I often touch both the break and the accelerator at the same time due to the small space between them. I had to adjust the seat, not to a position of comfort, but to a position where the central mirror didn't create a blind spot as the seat was high but the angle of the windscreen is low. Even now, I cannot have anything dangling from the mirror or it just gets in the way and obstructs my view. The steering wheel also felt small like my hands were too close together. And yet, the designer felt the need to have slightly larger door panels so I cannot lean my arm on the window without raising my shoulder, which is rather uncomfortable. I could raise the seat but then I would be back to a shallow view of the windscreen. All in all, the inside of this car feels like it is built for a tiny person to feel big inside. Having said the above, it is not so bad that I got rid of the car. But I do miss the 308, was a much more comfortable ride and better thought out interior. In terms of the drive, I find the gearbox to be fantastic. Smooth and consistent, never any confusion of what gear you are moving into. The ride comfort is a little hard over bumps and potholes, but otherwise I have no complaints. The stop start works the same as in any other car with stop start, just randomly stopped working after 20000 miles but it back to occasionally working since I got it serviced. 45L diesel tank does mean you stop a little more often but technically you are carrying less so should be more fuel efficient, however the car will only give me an average mpg over a journey rather than a 'live' mpg. Somehow, my 2008 is at about 41.2mpg which I don't think is that good compared to a '17 plate Octavia I had for a while. The power however, and this I think is specific to my model, is a bit sluggish. Being diesel you would expect it a little bit, however I am not sure if the car has a turbo to counter it - I have never heard it switch on and the car does not pick up any extra power at any specific revs. To me, it feels like the car is just too heavy for it to accelerate at a decent rate, however the speed does keep going up, just slowly - unless you are on a steep hill then you really need to be in a low gear and high revs. Final negative, its turning circle is larger than I expected. For someone who never quite understood SUV's in the city and then these crossovers that you would never take off road, this car has further cemented that view and I would not recommend this car to anybody. However its not terrible and will get you from A to B like most cars. So far no breakdowns, just the odd computer glitch and the 'infotainment' screen will reset. All in all, the car design is poorly thought out and there are better cars out there, likely for less money.

Had this car for a couple of months with 47K on the clock. Comfortable seating, but quite a few niggles. Position of the steering wheel obscures bottom half of instrument display. Stop start system is a nuisance and you have to switch it off every time you use the car. Tailgate is heavy to lift and my wife, of normal height, has difficulty reaching up to close it. Glove box is even too small to accommodate handbook and the cupholders could benefit from being larger and more accessible. As I said, these are niggles and overall the car is well specced and comfortable to drive.

I have had my 2008 for 6 months now and very pleased with it. I went with the 1.2 petrol - the 130bhp - and it is surprisingly punchy and accelerates well. I had a similar engine in my old Citroen C4.

Changed my 2008 Allure (2015) 1.6 diesel for the new 2008 Allure Puretech. Exterior style marks out of 10/ 10, interior the same .For a 1.2 petrol engine the car is very nippy and is returning 50 MPH on mostly A & B roads. Although the new car is a Allure model it does not have some of the spec of my old Allure model ie no twin heading controls no ambiance lighting at night around instrument panel. The boot of the new car is not as wide as the old model and the door bins in the new car are smaller. The heating is very quick to warm up the car but the foot vents are vey poor even with heating control blower on at full blast you don't get any heat at your feet.It is a very comfortable car to drive with good all round visibility

Very nice car done 8000 miles No problems apart from false reading on trip computer which shows I am getting 72 -74 mpg diesel when in fact the true figure is 58-60 I find this very misleading

Space is maximised and used to the best application all round. There are blind spots at the 'B' column but mirrors are adequate. General comfort and forward visibility is very good

I love my car, it is the best one I have ever had and I have been driving over 40 years. It is very comfortable (I have a bad back) and I can drive long distances without to many problems. When driving longer distances performance is great and fuel economy, but I do mainly only drive short distances which is not good for the car. I do love driving my car it is so light and easy to manoeuvre and a really good size for all my needs.

This is a small car with many attributes of a big car! The 'crossover' option fits into our rural lifestyle well - there aren't too many places you can't get in it, with good ground clearance too. Good on the Motorway too, although there are two blind spots. Reasonable cost servicing from Peugeot garage, also reasonable insurance. Would recommend thoroughally as a good country car which is easy to park in the town.

This mini - suv has a stylish exterior & interior(I have the 1.6 allure model) it holds the road very well and is a joy to drive. The cockpit is well laid out every thing in easy reach the only drawback is my wife finds the handbrake hard to release. The MPG is excellent returning 61mpg urban and 65 extra urban. The downside of this car is that the stop/start system has a mind of its own, when starting of from cold at the first stop the engine sometimes does not switch off and the auto head lights when parked usually take 25 seconds to switch off but at other times switch off immediately.
