This is my first and only car I ever had, I get my license and got this car used at 140.000km, 1.6 petrol engine, now has 300.000km, I bought it in 2012, now 10 years later, is still the same, I hope to keep her for more and more years. And is equipped with Gpl after she was bought.. so for answer you(for some of you at least), in 160.000km made it with the gpl, never had a problem, only changed the 2 filters of gpl. Top issues: rear axle very known problem had to replace gearbox because this model has a very known problem that can't be fixed, so I changed with another one from the scrap yard for 150€, and that's it.. of course I had to replace the same things that you replace on all the other cars in the world, so I changed the timing belt twice and, I don't know.. the shock absorbers are the original one.. the max speed after 300.000km is 180/185km/h. The important thing is the maintenance... that i always did it myself (in 10years she never saw a mechanic, and I'm not one.. I just love to do my own maintenance ), always change the oil after 8000km / 9000km. Aaa, and another thing the car in her first 5 years was used like an "racing car".. I mean, I was younger and I alway liked to push the gas, go near the red line, so I think is a good car. I know that we are nearly in 2023, and maybe you will take a newer car, but I hope this info helps you in making the best decision.. I'm sure that I will stay with my loyal and only 206sw. Peace

I've only had my Peugeot 206 for a few months I had a Vauxhall Astra Mk4 before this and a Vauxhall Corsa mk3 before that and I can honestly say the Peugeot is the best car out of the Vauxhalls in the Astra if you went round a corner at 15mph you would fly out the passenger side window the body roll in that is a joke and the Corsa I'm surprised I'm still alive 😂 this Peugeot holds the road you can go round a corner at 35 and you don't move the car doesn't even flinch it holds the road really well and the comfort is crazy The seat's hug you they are like racing seats I use the car for work and I can get 8ft fence posts in with no hassle it's so practical and running cost cheap I used to put £130 in the Astra a week in the Peugeot I'm lucky to put 30 in a week even in these hard times with petrol prices at nearly £2 a l and that's driving around town on the motorway it hardly takes anything I can honestly say this little car is perfect the power isn't to bad either it's not a super car but does what you need it to and the air con is ice cold and if you shop round you can get it at really low mileage I bought mine off an old lady she done 21000 miles now it's on 22000 this car is a gem 💎 would recommend buying this car to anyone I've seen these cars still going at 180.000 miles so this little car is going to last me a good few years yet

This car is a reliability nightmare. Had it for 2 years and has the battery fail, electronic issues, coil failed, lights coming on and off by themselves, cam belt tensioner went, clutch failed, nightmare wouldn’t go near it

I LOVE MY LITTLE TOY! JUST WANT WIDER TIRES. VERY FAST COMFORTABLE AND RELIABLE. NICE OVERSEAS BUT I DRIVE A HUMMER IN THE STATES IT'S A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Cheap to maintain, reliable (never let me down), and looks very good. There are some weak points like the rear beam axel, and the steering column switch. The 1.6cc engine is very reliable if you change the oil at every 10 thousend kilometers.

The car is from 2004 but I have bought it 3 years ago. After I bought it I changed the oil filters, brake pads and brake discs just to make sure. The car now has 243.220 km, the only things that didn't need to be changed regulary in any cars is some hose from front wheels because front wheels where warming up quite a lot on long journeys (it costed arround 30€) and an resistor from AC it was because it didn't get cold enough in the car on the summer (it costed arround 45€). This was all that I changed on it since I got it verry good car for it's age and considering that I live into a country with not so great roads It's sturdy enough. About the running cost it's almost like it's running on air. I only fill up when the light comes on because I forget about it. The space with 4 people it's confortable enough fot it's price. Only the boot space it could be a bit bigger but that's it. About the performances I don't have trouble overtaking Golfs ;). And that's it I love this little car.

I have brought this car second hand and it had almost a ten year gap in servicing. But for 350 quid I took a chance. I had to give it a few tweaks to make it roadworthy, but I had no real problems with it, minor problems with the electrics, battery died, changed the head gasket, brake cylinder and brake pads, but apart from that it works just fine considering I had it for over a years and drive 120 miles a week commuting. I truly believe with persistence, this car cab last for life

Downsized to this car a few years ago. I do less mileage now so don't need a diesel but still find it economical to run. My only criticism is it is not as comfortable as my previous , larger car but that is not a problem as my journeys are shorter

A good reliable car for its size easy to handle after used to bigger cars mainly petrol

I would strongly recommend buying this type of car, due to it's low running costs and reliability. It warms up quickly in cold weather and is big enough for the needs of a 2nd car. I will definitely buy again when the time comes.

I have had this car for 9 years, lovely car but not big enough that we have a family, also my partner is disabled and helping with getting our baby in and out of the car especially with the amount of stuff babies come with! Only had a few troubles with the computer system in this car Nothing else top car nice to drive!

The cars a really good and reliable small car, lots of room for its size, a pleasure to drive. Two complaints it took a bit getting used to the pedals being close together and its a bit greedy on fuel.

Reliable cheap 2nd hand car only problem is brake and accelerator pedal too close together

I have had the car for less than 12 months, so far it has been all that I require. Other recently owned cars have not been so satisfactory.

Our 206 is a 1.6 petrol, 5 door hatch, bought new (with free air-con). 65,000 miles later it has never had a major problem - touch wood. Mostly local driving, occasional 200 mile return run, and one faultless 3000 mile trip. Bodywork as new. Front seats go back a good way. so great for 2 people, but will take 4 readily. Delighted with this car. Does everything we want it to do. So, as we have kept it well serviced (e.g. a cam belt change is scheduled) and hope to get another 5 years similar from it and feel no need to get a replacement. Thank you Peugeot.

Loving the looks, especially with the apple green I chose and the spec in the interior feels classy with its leather seats and steering wheel. The console and dash feel a little more robust and look more expensive than the run of the mill. The rear seats are a complete waste of time and the limited space in the rear could have been used for something more useful imho. The roof works well and looks good down but makes the boot space tiny but those buying this, like me, are not looking for luggage space and child seats but a compact car with a bit of sexiness and this has that. The gearbox feels 'roomy' but as this car is 13 years old I can forgive that but bodywork held up remarkably well as did the interior and everything works! My only issue is with the engine management system which keeps giving a Anti-Corrosion error, which is giving my garage hives!

Just what I wanted, Cheap to run. Comfortable quite nippy. The only down is mirrors on doors very small & and magnify so when reversing you think you are close to something but your not
