Plenty fast enough to keep up with modern traffic. 0-30 is on the slow side but 30-70 is rapid. Going very strong for a 27 year old car. Extremely comfortable on long journeys. MPG isn't very good though. I average about 29.

Time was Saab produced some of the best cars ever built and the 9000 was one. They are not without their issues, in my experience the ride quality is not up there with other premium cars but otherwise I found the facelift Saab 9000 2.3 CSE I owned to be something of an undiscovered gem.

I have owned this car since 2008 and it is wonderful in every respect except fuel consumption. I have driven it for over 100,000 miles and found it to be reliable, highly practical and very comfortable on long and short journeys. It is powerful yet easy to drive. My only gripe is the petrol consumption when I get 28 mph but everything else is superb.

I chose a Saab 9000 as my first car because of its reputation as a reliable well built and safe car. I have found it to comfortably live up to its name. The car is brilliantly built and it has plenty of kit. Although not a griffin model, the car still has all the gadgets you would expect for a 90’s exec. It was an expensive car new; in today’s money would be worth almost £40,000 new. Everything works, its fast and better made than a new Saab.

At 250,000 moles this is sti the most comfortable, fast and safe car I own. If only they still made them!

She's beginning to develop faults now. Silly things like rusty bulb holders and intermittent electrical faults. but still handles very well, I can't fault her performance in ice and snow. She sticks to the road on ice when I can't even stand up on it. If only we could have her as she was when she was new!

As an Estate Agent I need a reliable comfortable car to take my clients on viewings. The Saab meets all these and more, also it has a image of style and success.

For a 16year old car, the late 9000 2.3 Aero and Anniversary models still keeps up with modern cars. It may not be as fuel efficient or eco friendly as a modern executive cars, but it's very roomy and the hatchback boot space is huge. The B234R engine is simply superb and if the car is looked after it will just keep going.
