October 2018 - I have owned this car for almost 16 years and intend to keep it for at least another year. It does everything you want but is not intended as an enthusiastic driver's car. I purchased it in January 2003 - first owner on import. With three younger children at the time it seemed huge inside - it has shrunk as they have grown older and really now should be deemed as a very comfortable six seater if you are carrying teenagers or older. That said we have traveled hundreds of miles with seven of us and our holiday luggage within on many occasions, along with removing the seats, transporting two large conifers in sections to the local tip, moving another's house with larger items out through the large moon roof and even recovering a broken down motorbike within, we have used it as a multi purpose vehicle MPV 30 -35 mpg is what you will get whatever you do, town, mixed, long range with passengers and luggage (those who sell on certain web sites stating 40-50 are having a laugh so be warned. I have meticulously maintained it during ownership, last count was a total of 31 oil and filter changes, all the other filters, fluids cam belt and tension unit changed when required, all parts appear still readily accessible. have always used genuine parts or Blueprint by doing so you will not go wrong. I did on one occasion purchase a wheel bearing from a different source and regretted it having to buy a OEM part soon after and have the job re-done. Expensive repairs have been the diesel pump, it gets very hot being on top of the engine below the front seats with limited if any cooling airflow. That said worth doing as the car has continued on or years after the repair. When doing the cam belt always do the tensioner - false economy not to - does increase the cost but provides full reassurance. Even now with almost 300,000 km on the clock I would have no hesitation driving to North Scotland or the South of France.

I am pleased with my car as it serves the purpose of transporting two elderly mothers around with walking aids and all their shopping as well. It is very comfortable to visit local beauty spots with a flask of coffee and a sandwich slide the door open and watch the world go buy, I just wish I could afford a newer one with the extra side door as mum is getting older.
