The Astra GTC is a Coupe which is better driven for long distance motoring as the weight of the car is particularly heavy for the 1.4 Manual Model, considering some Ford Fiestas have 1400 cc engines. Being the owner of the Astra 1400cc Automatic makes a great difference from the 1400cc Manual which I previously owned. There's not much difference in fuel consumption, although some manual models have the Start-Start function. The standard Insignia VXR suspension on all GTC models is superb. I'd recommend that if you buy a 1400cc then go for a very low mileage car. But from experience I'd rather purchase a GTC Automatic.

Good performance. Smooth automatic transmission. Reasonably roomy and practical. Good handling, ride quality could be more comfortable though. Some reliability issues relating to engine software. Overall a good quality car.
