last of the 940's very useful car. petrol consumption not bad if driven gently

I owned and ran this fantastic car for over 20 years. Most of my mileage was done in my job as a district nurse.When I first bought it, I decided to have a new factory engine fitted. This was not essential as the car salesman told me that the engines are good for at least 250000 miles. But doing the job I was doing I wanted something that was going to be totally reliable. It was but owing to retirement, I could no longer afford to run my wonderful comfortable car and had to downsize to a skate_board Suzuki WagonR+. This does me well but is not big enough for the weekly shop. My son in law has suggested a V60 but being on a pension limits me to the cost of another car.

one of the best buys you can get a great car just keeps going,great space cheap to maintain as well as buy only reason they can be bought very cheap is there is so many of them left and that in it self says how good they are, i have known some of them to go to over 300,000 miles without any major work. bodys just dont seem to be the subject of the dreaded tin worm.
