Audi A4 reviews

A great car to drive. It is very comfortable to drive on short to medium journeys; less so on long journeys. The boot size is disappointing, it only just takes my golf clubs and golf trolley; it is not capable of taking two lots of golf equipment

Nice car, comfortable, practical car Only criticism is it goes through a lot of oil.

This is my 5th Audi, I love driving this car, not previously had an automatic but having driven this car I now wish I had bought one sooner, tyres and servicing are costly but the practicality, performance and comfort makes up for the cost;

Having come from a Ford Mondeo 90,000 over 3 years to a Audi A4 2013 model - having had 3 older Audi over the years. Car looks great - is comfortable but with all the new electronic gizmos for radio, media, nav system etc all run through a central joy stick - its crap - easily knocked off the thing you are doing by a brush of the hand while searching for the electronic hand brake. Does no drive straight - the older audis had a damping system - the new seems skittish while driving. Braking is not as good. In all disappointed inwhat I thought would be a better car all round. Running costs seem to be a bit heavy - with the older model was getting 55mpg this is doing about 42mpg. You would expect a newer car to be more efficient - possibly too much power being used to drive all the electronic functions.

Less comfortable and efficient than my previousAudi Avant A6.

Quality car, ideal size and economy

My A4 has been regularly serviced and now has 266000 miles on the clock. Apart from the head gasket recently been done the only othereexpenses have been general running costs. I love it.

An excellent car which is most enjoyable to own and drive. It is disappointing that Audi no longer manufacture this model.

I would recommend an Audi to anyone but would look at a skoda first

I have had a number of Audi cars over the years and i seem to get the same problems. - Back lights go very frequently - Licence plate lights keep breaking and have to be drilled out. - manifolds keep going - second time on 2 cars general internal computer errors. Generally it is a good car make but there seems to be lots of little things that go wrong that are very expensive to fix

A great practical and comfortable car

A solid car but had major problem with transmission going into 'limp' mode. Had it fixed. Sat Nav system awful. You can only type in first 4 digits of post code and it guesses the rest. If you don't have a street name, forget it. Very disappointing.

This is our first Audi, and we are very pleased with it. I did do a lot of research both online and in magazines before we chose a car. We had gone from 2 cars to one, and we wanted a little more luxury than we had had before. We bought it s/h from an Audi dealer, and had no preference for petrol/diesel or manual/auto. The semi-auto transmission is very good indeed, as it is much easier to drive in heavy traffic, and gives the opportunity to change down through the gears when slowing, should you wish to. The front seats are comfortable, but the rear seats are a little disappointing, and leg space in the back is compromised unless the front seats are moved forward.The boot space is good, and more than adequate for our needs. Running costs are better on longer journeys as expected, but are good overall. It's been very reliable for us. I'm pleased with the performance, as there is always power to be found in S gear! I would most certainly recommend Audi to anyone.

Reliable, comfortable and safe.

My current Audi is the 6th one I have owned. They have ALL been reliable and safe to drive. Servicing tends to be on the pricy side and parts are expensive BUT need for them is rare. I and others see it as a prestige car and better value than other German marques. I regularly recommend Audi to family and friends.

Never let me down in nearly 100K miles, 55 mpg, smooth, comfortable, best car I ever owned

The A4 convertible is stylish, reliable and very comfortable. some boot space is lost when you have the roof down but there is a clever shelve you can lift to give you more room when roof is up. I don't think the running costs are excessive but if I was worried about petrol consumption I would not driving a 3 litre engine car. For me it will be hard to beat the A$
