The 135im is everything promised, with one exception. The excellent performance, the massive torque from low down in the rev range give real character to the drive. But the problem is the claimed fuel consumption. One cannot even get the claimed extra-urban mileage on a flat motorway at 56mph. My previous car a Vauxhall Astra GSI 200 bhp was quite quick, but when trying I often made 48mpg on long runs. With the 135 it is a struggle to get 35mpg. Even though they had the same overall consumption rating! Well over half of my mileage is on motorways, and in winter 24mph average is the norm, and in summer add a couple more. Otherwise the 135 is not far off superb, despite the 8/10 rating.
