Had my C Max from new was fine at first then at 34000miles the Engine blew. Basically the engine was ruined, So had to scrap my C max. I did love it at first but cost for everything is ridiculous and it should not have been ruined after 34000 miles. Disappointed with ford eco boosts totally, please if your reading this never get a Eco boost car.😡

I think this car may be underrated and therefore overlooked. It drives great; as good as any BMW or Audi I've driven. In fact, better. Build quality is great. It's built at Ford's factory in Germany. The 1.5 Diesel engine is superbly refined and quiet, and I average 56mpg with mixed town/motorway driving. The gear change is smooth. It's EURO6 (ULEZ) compliant, and emissions are just 105g/km. car tax is still only £20 per year. The boot is big (432 litres) and converts to a massive 1684 litres with the seats down. Seat can also be removed to make it into a van for tip runs. Yet it's easy to park being only 4379mm long. Seats are comfy on long journeys. Servicing and parts are cheap. My particular can is the Titanium X with family pack, winter pack and convenience pack, which includes such things as electric tailgate and heated seats and steering wheel. Sat nav is great, with additional voice control. Headlights are bi-xenon and turn as you're cornering. To cap it all, in What Car's 2020 reliability survey, it was the top MPV with a score of 100%! You can't get better than that.

I like how easy it is to get in and out. The seats adjust up and down as well as the usual forward and back. Lumbar support is adjustable. Auto lights and wipers. Steering can be altered from comfort to sport, to something else which I cant remember : ). I have cruise control which I dont use very often but it's good to have. And, my favourite, parking sensors. How did I ever live without them?

Had this vehicle for 7 years now. It has always returned around 40 miles to the gallon, better on long runs. Been reliable, only the normal wear and tear items needing replacement. The rear seats fold flat producing a large area for transporting large items.

Have had the car from new, a few minor niggles, one major one. Had good service from the Ford main dealer where I live. The car is the 125hp Eco Boost 3-cylinder model and performs quite well. Fuel economy is not quite as good as expected but is better than my previous Focus. The car is easy to get in and out of and the ride is generally quite relaxing. It carries me and my golf clubs and trolley backwards and forwards to my golf club with relative ease, and is capable of carrying five adults in reasonable comfort when necessary. I would be quite happy to recommend this to others, and am considering getting another new one next year.

Good fuel consumption, plenty of room due to rear seat design when required

happy with every think but the road tax at over £200 PER ANNUM WHEN MY MILEAGE IS LESS THAN 5000 PER ANNUM

This is my second C Max. It has proven to be very reliable over my three years of ownership, admittedly with lowish annual mileage. Nothing has gone wrong in or out of warranty, it handles well, comfortable front and rear and capacious enough for most needs. Does everything I require. My only quibble is that Ford cost-reduced the original vehicle when updating it, so that little storage touches have gone and some things look cheap (e.g. fastenings for rear shelf and lack of trays for rear seats). Lack of front parking sensors annoying since you cannot see the front of the car from the driving seat. And why oh why get rid of the spare wheel? Overall MPG around 49 MPG including local journeys and long 'A'-road journeys at the posted speed limits.

After having had a 1.6 petrol Ford Focus for 9 years I bought this 1 year old C-Max. I have had no problems with it and found it has plenty of oomph and is extremely frugal with fuel. It is also cheap to tax. However, we are now told that as a diesel the car is a worse polluter than a petrol one and this worries me. Why does the government continue to encourage Diesel cars through the tax system when - even if they are are more economical to run - they are doing more to destroy the planet for our grandchildren and harming people's health?

Nice car to drive. Bit swingy on corners. Good driving position. Not great on fuel. Previous diesel edition was better, had more torque and better mileage. Current ecoboost engine does give a bit of zip.

A good all round car, few serious faults a solid if not exciting vehicle.

Very practical vehicle I like it a lot. Except for poor turning circle . Not easy to park I think it may be something to do with the electric power steering. All the previous cars I have had hydraulic power steering. It came without a spare wheel and tyre so I bought a space saver tyre. Manufacturers should be prevented from selling cars without a spare wheel. The current situation is ridiculous.

Reliable, good level of equipment, stylish, reasonable running costs.

I have not had the car long as yet but am more than happy with it so far, I was recommended to by one of these by several people including the man who repairs my vehicles and am not disappointed the only thing I would have liked would be to have parking sensors which we have on our other car.

The car appears to be good, unfortunately I can't find my 26 point AA car check.
