It is the most useful and reliable car I have ever owned by far. An absolute gem of a model.

I have had this car for ten years and it has never let me down. It has been 100% reliable

This is a good small / medium estate giving reasonable fuel consumption and a good performance.

The car has done 65000 miles in 4 years.Apart from tyres and servicing it hasn't cost me anything in repairs,it has been very reliable.Being a Titanium I find it very comfortable and quiet.Plenty of space for passengers and carrying rubble/gardening waste to the tip and various DIY products (car used as a workhorse !)

Currently on my third Ford Focus. All excellent cars with total reliability and driving satisfaction. Current model 1600 TDCi (2011) is the best yet in terms of comfort and economy and qualifies for £30 road tax which is a bonus.

My car is a good old workhorse-does what I need it to do, loads of room done nearly 80k, not too many fancy bells and whistles which is why I don't look forward to having to buy a newer model . This spring I had to have a new instrument control panel -the whole works to control the ECU etc. Something I had assumed would last the lifetime of the car. Apparently on the just a few months older previous model there had been a recall and a replacement at around £100 but nothing doing on mine, I had to fork out £500 ( got just a year guarantee) . This is the only thing to go wrong since I have had the car but I have lost count of how many mates have had major electronic control failures recently in all sorts of makes of car-two, owners of a Skoda and a Citroen despaired of their dealers inability to resolve the problem and cut their losses and sold them. Manufacturers are making cars for the fleet market and the used car buyer is picking up the problems arising from cars being too complicated and too hard for the average mechanic to fix.

I am extremely satisfied with this car. However,I am absolutely disgusted with Ford because of their misleading information in marketing literature and website. When purchasing my Focus 1.0 125PS Ecoboost I was greatly influenced in making this purchase by the quoted mpg average figure of 56.5 and 67.3 for driving at 75mph. I am an average motorist with 47 years driving experience and I find these figures impossible to achieve. I get 38mpg on average and 43mpg when making a long journey. I have been in correspondence with Ford on at least three occasions but they fail to see the point I am making. I have also complained through the Citizens Advice Bureau. Here are two quotes from Ford :- "They are only intended as a comparison between makes and models of vehicles. They are not intended to represent the real world fuel consumption you may get from your vehicle." "a driver will almost never replicate these figures, in any make of vehicle, unless he has access to a laboratory rolling road". I didn't buy my car to use in a laboratory but I want to drive it in the real world.

I bought my focus in Feb this year and cant fault it reliability so far. However little things have irked me. Nothing can stick to the dashboard, i used to have a radar detector that sat on old car dashboard, but not on focus. Even products that say sticks to anything!!! Last car had an outside temp gauge nothing on focus. The clutch pedal has a spring on it the has broken costing 80 to fix, very poor design as this is a common problem. But main gripe is the car seats that stain very easily, even with just rain water!!

Excellent car. Utterly reliable, economical and comfortable.

As I have only had the car since August I don't feel that I am familiar enough to give a comprehensive review. But only to say that so far I am very pleased with the performance and it compares favourably with my previous Focus 1600 and appears to be slightly more economical on fuel

This is probably the second most comfortable car we have owned, with good seat and steering wheel adjustment. The drive is very quiet and smooth and the automatic gearbox doesn't have a great affect on fuel consumption. There is ample room for 4 adults and their luggage, which is easily accessible. My only real complaint is the dashboard and number of buttons. For the radio/communications part there are some 48 buttons/switches so finding what you want is not easy on the move. The heater is very effective, but again not particularly easy to set. The biggest problem I have with the dashboard, however, is how intrusive it is into front passenger space in particular. To get decent knee room the seat has to be set too far back, which obviously is to the detriment of rear seat passengers. I really don't like this aspect and hope it can be amended for any future update. Overall, would I buy another Focus? Probably yes as long as I wasn't carrying adult rear seat passengers too often.

This is a good medium sized car that never lets me down . Running costs are reasonable and it meets my current needs for work and social use.

The Ford Focus has a very good level of specification for what is a general purpose car. Nothing flashy, but a good range of features throughout. In these colder months. the Ford standard front heated windscreen really comes into its own, not just for ice but also for those mornings when it is misted up on the inside. Far better than leaving streaks all over the screen after wiping it with a cloth.

Practical, roomy, useful car. Good boot size, relevant as we have two large dogs. Regularly travel between Bath and Dublin and dogs have room to lie down and the back seat carries all the luggage. Reliable engine and good road holding. Recommend it.

Room, comfortable, average all over. A great car for a non desript a to b transport machine. Body is too heavy for the 1.6l engine I've had smaller cars which were more fun and nippier UE to lower weight. Supposed to be safety car in its class, open I never get to find it. Automated parts such a gear change"dampener" and clutch softener is horrid but at end of day the car gtd job donnnjhg

I have just taken delivery of my 2nd Ford Focus. I am delighted with this car and find it drives very well giving the feeling of a bigger vehicle. It is roomy and comfortable. All the controls are easy to use and well placed. An excellent car

The Ford Focus does not set out to be a luxury vehicle but it serves the basic needs very well. It has proved to be economic to run and very practical in everyday use. It has not ever failed to take us where we wanted to go in reasonable comfort. But any one wanting the more luxurious, quiet style of journey should be prepared to pay a bit more.

I have found my new Focus to be reliable and cheap to run, which is the main reason it was purchased. It is comfortable and a pleasure to drive.

Apart from a one off problem with the ESP system the car has been very reliable for the 30,000 miles that I have driven in it. I would buy another Ford Focus and recommend it to friends and family as a comfortable and reliable car. The fuel efficiency does not live up to the makers claims, but I believe that is typical of other makes of car.
