Bought my W reg Accord 1.8 SE hatchback in 2002. Am a low-mileage driver so have still only done 74000 miles. It goes like a new car and the only things to have gone wrong could be described as fair wear and tear. I have never had such confidence in a car. The only slight criticism is that it is a bit cramped in the rear seats. Very comfortable in the front though and huge boot. An effortless cruiser. Have thought of changing it but for what? Wonderful car.

I purchased this car when it was 6 months old & it has been reliable throughout. This being my fourth Honda I purchased it because of Honda reliability and its carrying capacity for a reasonably priced vehicle. It has good comfort on long journeys & is very economical which exceeded my expectations. The only negative that I have experienced is the lack of leg room for the rear seat passengers. With me being 6 feet tall I need the driver seat back a long way so making the rear leg room small. Overall a great vehicle which fulfils all of my requirements.

This is the 2nd Accord I have owned & both have performed superbly. The build quality & reliability have been faultless & the Dealer service excellent. The running costs are a little heavy, but,in my opinion well worth paying.

A very good economic and comfortable car, also the service from Honda garage that I use is very good.

Just been an excellent vehicle Newer cars are now cheaper to run than this 2004 model, I've been spoilt with this car very difficult to replace it.

Bought because of reliability of my other car, CRX over 15 years old. Liked engine spec and safety features. Pleased with adaptive cruise control and lane keeping. Plenty of engine performance. Satisfied ex BMW driver.

I would recommend this model to all . Buy , beg, borrow or steal ! Perth to Brighton on one tank of petrol . The engine is bigger than I need but the dealer had nothing smaller , second hand .

Bought the Accord in pre reg form with 59 mile recorded, from main dealer (Honda) Over the eight years I have owned the car no faults have occurred and every thing just works as(in the old Honda adverts said) It had had its recommended service via the dealer and although by to days standard it was expensive. This was due to non availability of having servicing deal thrown in with the new car price! Performance is reasonable and more than adequate for to-days roads and driving conditions. Economy again for 2.2ltr diesel is fair although unfair to compare this with to-days super controlled engines Over the eight years it has averaged 44.5 mpg Its comfort is very good and is full leather with heated seats. Being an estate version room for luggage is more than adequate. Only the detail of NOT having a spare wheel was a problem when a blow out took place, and I do mean BLOW out. No amount of the puncture repair sticky stuff would seal a hole the size of a fist! Simply a very good car well done HONDA

IT WAS A PITY THAT MY MODEL WAS NOT FITTED WITH A REVERSING ALARM AS THIS MODEL IS VERY DIFFICULT TO REVERSE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE MORE THAN 36.3MPG IN THIS CAR UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO DRIVE AT A CONSTANT SPEED OF 60MPH WHEN IT IS POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE 45MPG MAXIMUM.

The Honda V-TEC could not be bettered. Only comfort and instrumentation seem to have improved in more recent years. Would not hesitate to "Go Honda" again.

I would recommend the Accord and plan on just getting the latest model when it comes to replacing.

Superbly built, reliable, generally economic to run but I'm prepared to spend money on servicing and repairs. Comfortable, reasonable space and feels safe. Good road holding, excellent power steering, unlike my '53 Civic which has the awful electronic steering. I also like the classic look of the body which is much preferable to later Honda (and many other) designs. The only problem is that I really need an estate to move some of my work around but would prefer to carry on with this until I know which

Bought the car used in August and very pleased with car. Very high spec so has all the comforts.Unfortunately had to replace reasonably major part (crankshaft pulley)in Nov. I am however told by various sources, that his is highly unusual for this model of car, so at the moment I am of the opinion that I am just unlucky in picking the "one in ten thousand model" that fails.

Apart from quite bad fuel consumption this is by far the best car I've ever had. It's extremely reliable and relatively cheap to keep on the road.
