Honda CR-V reviews

The car has proved reliable and a good tow car. Fuel consumption is very good and car gives a firm ride.

I really like my car however the fuel efficiency is not good and that is the only negative side to it. I love the space in the car and can easily fit 2 sets of golf clubs and trollies in by using the back seat. I gave extra features fitted which include a rear camera to assist parking which makes parking a doddle.

Just gets better and better.

I am on my 2nd CR-V and they are excellent. They are not exciting but they are reliable and well made. In short, they do exactly what it says on the tin. Best of all, they are built right here in the UK - and I am proud to support British Industry. The dealer network is extensive and professional albeit not cheap, Overall a good ownership experience which will ensure I remain a likely Honda owner.

Changed to this car as bought a larger/heavier caravan. Have now had it over a year and find it a superb tow car, and fine solo. Heavier fuel consumption than previous car, but expected this when buying it. No faults, but keep it maintained by Honda. Also happier in ice and snow with 4 wheel drive as we live half way up the Pennines and it always got me home.

Ever faithful over 7 years - apart from battery failure. Still runs like new Great load carrier and plenty of power to tow a 1 tonne trailer

Owned for seven years and proved to be very reliable. There isn't another four-wheel-drive which is as economical and spacious as the CR-V.

I have only had this car since July but so far have found it an excellent vehicle I bought it to tow a caravan, which it does with no problems, even managing to return 37.9 mpg while returning from the New Forest with the caravan in tow

An excellent car - reliable and comfortable. I should replace it when ready with the same model which is upgraded of course. I have had very good support and service from Honda dealers which is refreshing !

bought as a stop gap, but have still got it 3 years later,love it ! not full size 4x4 but does everything good in snow,very comfortable and super reliable.downside fuel consumption 30 mpg but thats it, great for the dog or chucking stuff in the back,everything easy to work on mechanical wise,would make excellent 2 nd car

Comfortable high seated automatic diesel. Fairly economical for size of car, and easy to drive, but reverse needs care. Not the best tow car except for light caravans being limited to 1500 kg. Boot space smaller than expected without rear seats lowered. Not god for two sets of golf clubs and trolleys. Good driving position and ease of entry and egress for those with back problems. Fits in garage easily as same length has Passatt estate. Reasonable service costs and service intervals. Very costly to upgrade satnav disc. No DAB radio on this top of range car!!

Good reliable comfortable workhorse

The CR-V is functional as an occasional off roader round the farm - subject to suitable tyres. Adequate but thirsty on the motorway. Readily maintained by independent garages at reasonable costs but the dealers can be excessive. On country lanes the extra height is handy and pleasant.

This car is the first to meet all my needs.It has enough power to get out of trouble and plenty of room for passengers.It is the most reliable car I have had. The only time its in the garage is when its being serviced.I drive approximately 10-12 Km a year and its never let me down.

I love Honda.

Bought this car in 2004, when it was just over two years old. Apart from petrol consumption (22-23 mpg) everything about the car is very good or excellent. It is not a performance vehicle with that shelf thing at the rear, it is a brilliant family car. We bought it to suit us as long as possible, as children were small at the time, and we wanted a car that will accommodate 4 grown ups and their luggage.In other words, as children were growing we had no problems with legroom, accessibility, size of the boot etc. Unless something happens, we expect the car to be with us for at least five more years.
