Just bought the XF fantastic, it is so comfortable and drives fantastic. the car is smooth and has no knocks or irrttating noises and to say it is a 2008 model i am very impressed. Much better than the stype which i had some years ago. I have had the BMW,MERC,3 Rangerovers, as well as the VW touraeg and i can honestly say the jag blows them out of the water.Fuel consuption is really good. It is a pleasure to drive. And as for the upgraded sound system WOW!! I would buy another in a heart beat.

Waited 61 years until I could afford a Jag and boy was it worth the wait. I would have had one sooner if I had realized that they were not the money pit some people would have you believe. That said when I bought it I had it serviced by a Jag specialist @ £300 and the gearbox oil changed @300 and have had no problem other than a hole in one of the multitude of pipes under the bonnet which was changed under warranty. I dont seem to get the MPG others get but that maybe my driving style. Love it to bits as does the wife who take it out whenever she has the choice of cars to drive.

I have owned a 2015 Portfolio S for 12 months now. Purchased from a main dealer as an approved used car. The warranty is 24 months with an unlimited mileage, which is generous.... and a pre-requisite. Having owned many similar spec cars over the last 15 years (mostly the common German brands) i wanted something different. I love the way the car looks and drives, but based on the build quality and constant trips back to the dealer I simply couldn't recommend a Jaguar to anybody. Mine will be chopped in within the next six months for an Audi. Not as good to drive, but they are far superior quality wise.

First Jaguar I have owned after having Audis etc. I love it ,Love the colour (Italian Racing Red) especially in summer and the admiring glances. Averages late 40s MPG although had 65 MPG on a motorway run. Cant wait to swop for a newer version in Cesium Blue Its gorgeous!!

This car is great but anyone buying one should check the spec as they vary i.e. Different BHP. interior but overall when you are looking at buying a jaguar you will always get comfortable ride. I am very pleased with this one of mine. Ex Audi A6 driver

I am now on my third XF, the first was a 2.2l Premium Luxury saloon, the second was my first sportbrake (estate). Again 2.2l premium luxury. My final model is the 2.2l Sportbrake Portfolio. All three were purchased at a year old with very little mileage on the clock. As motorway cruisers they have proved comfortable and economical. The best fuel consumption I have achieved was 59.7 MPG, practically all motorway driving at the legal limit. Reliability has been very good, I have never had any significant failures on any of the XF's just a few minor warranty adjustments. I have had no complaints from passenger about the lack of seating space and there is plenty of luggage space in the Sportbrake models.

I've had my Sportbrake from new, my first Jaguar, which I chose having narrowed the usual suspects down from BMW, Audi, Volvo, and Mercedes, to replace an ageing Mercedes C Class Estate. I eliminated BMW 520 Touring (harsh ride, too common), Audi A6 Avant (sadly uninspiring), and Volvo (boring but OK), and shortlisted a Mercedes E Class Estate with the Jag. These were two very different cars, Mercedes was smart, reliable, innovative, and the Jaguar was sleek, classy, and engaging. I flipped a coin, and the Jaguar won. It has been a great 'decision', I love the car, it still looks like new, it catches admiring looks in Europe because the Sportbrake is rare over there, and you don't see hundreds of them in the UK either. It has a cachet of its own. It is as good as any German car I have owned, is beautifully designed, and brilliantly built. In two and a half years I have no complaints. Jaguar even put a complete new set of tyres on at last service (March '16) because the Dunlops were not performing well enough! The Goodyears have improved mpg. I also note small things, now I'm driving a 'right hand' designed car. On German cars (and maybe true on other left hand drive designs), not all the driver controls are 'mirror image', so I'm chuffed to be driving a British built car again, after 20 years of German ones. I have two negative points with the XF Sportbrake ; (1) the interior all round viewing position is not as good as the Merc and (2) the SatNav system does not include speed limits, which is mildly annoying. Apart from those, I'll probably replace it next year with another Jaguar, maybe an F-Pace!

Best car I ever owned. Very comfortable and smooth running. The interior in my car is light and adds to the spaciousness. All of the instruments are clear and the LCD screen is easy to use.

Being a car owner for the last 50 years I can say without doubt the XF is the best car I have ever owned. Its performance is exceptional the running costs are manageable, i.e. depending on how I drive on journeys 15 miles plus I will average between 42 and 49 miles per gallon. Servicing costs are not cheap but the attention to detail and customer care at a Jaguar dealers has always been a very pleasant experience. It gives a most comfortable ride with none of my passengers ever making a negative comment. I have owned the car from new and have had no reliability issues the car of course is serviced on time annually. Space is not normally a problem however when travelling with two passengers with their luggage plus my own and my wife's we managed it just, with some imaginative packing.

While I much preferred the body design of the S-Type, the XF is a great car to drive. Very reliable, excellent performance, extremely comfortable, does have advantage over S-type of much more boot space. So far I cannot fault the car in any way.
